Where is BP's Heart???

Is it here in Dallas with his current players? Or is it still in New York? I would say BP has more love for New York than he does Dallas.

Our current team has no HEART, period! I'm not bashing BP but think about this for a second. When Jimmy Johnson was coaching the Dolphins do any of you honestly think he was giving his all? Or was his heart still in Big D? I would say JJ's heart is still in big D. It was his first chance to coach in the NFL and he was successful in Dallas.

We won't know for a little while but my guess is that BP will some how end his career as a Giant. Wellington Mara is gone and BP would love nothing more than to finish his career as a Giant. Maybe a team advisor or something else. Just my opinion though.

i'd guess somewhere in his chest behind a lung...

look people, i disagree with BP as much as the next guy who disagrees with bp as much as i do, but i DO NOT think he's trying to tank the team, strip it of "heart", play "torpedo jjones in the bathtub..." any of that.

i just think he's very hard headed about the top position and has some fetishparanoia about it that effects his overall objectivity. but i'm not a shrink. he's doing the best he can in a difficult time and while i don't think he'll make it, it won't be because of a lack of "heart" - just not able to figure out todays game with yesterdays understanding.

now i gotta go wonder where his spleen is...

I don't think you can knock Parcells' heart or intensity.

I do think he's frustrated, from what I've seen at least. And rightfully so.

What Parcells has missed since his NYG days is the little bit to get him over the top. People argue that its missing bellichick, and that may be true. His teams post NYG have been good and solid, but never great, save the superbowl trip with the Pats.

However if Jerrah was to fire him, I think there'd be a lot of teams interested in hiring him. his ability to turn teams around in a short span is great.

you guys should be thankful for what you have.

I was in no way questioning BP's lack of heart...I was simply asking where does Bp's heart feel or sit better...In New York(close to home) or in Dallas.

It's hard to say...the previous poster brought up the fact that his brother passed away a few weeks ago.

I was at the game sunday, he looked out of it after we scored the 3rd td. I almost want to say he pretty much gave up.

you may be onto something, it's hard to say.

What brought him to dallas? other than the money, i mean. What enticed him?

Gave up?

No, he got fed up. I don't know what people expect when his players came out and completely failed. That was not scheme nor preparation.

That was players failing on their own.

Coach Parcells is like any free agent signing.

He has no organizational loyalty, nor should you expect that.

If you do, you are a romantic who thinks the game is the same way it was thirty years ago.

Fed up = gave up, imo. He should have kicked some *** in the lockerroom and lit a fire under those sorry sacks of ****. You watched the game, you saw the look on his face. There was no fight left in him in the team or him after the 3rd TD. And you and i both know that a team is often a reflection of the coach.

I do believe loyalty exists. Think Gibbs would have come back to coach a team other than the skins? hell no. All the offers he's had over the years and he's shut them down...he came back to the skins cause he was tired of seeing danny boy ****ing up. Can you see Cowher anywhere else other than Pittsburgh?

Parcells may have bounced around a bit, but the NYG days are pretty far removed now. I think his heart is in Dallas. It's just been hard for him lately, the players are busy blowing your season, his brother died...not exactly easy.

You need to watch less movies.

winning seasons. it used to be a given, now it's just forbidden.

Yeah, well...stupid NFL and their parity, they'd love it if every team was 8-8...I'm a bit too young (24) to remember the glory days between the Cowboys and the Commanders when it used to be a rivalry and you didn't kick the crap out of us 14 out of 17 times....now teams are good for a couple years then crappy the next.

I wish there wasn't a salary cap. The Cowboys and Skins would be the Sox/Yanks of football, duking it out at the top year after year with a host of great memorable players, just like it used to be.

**** all the other teams, I'd love every season to come down to week 17, Cowboys vs Skins with playoffs/homefield/bragging rights on the line.

Whatever man, you and I know Parcells does the lockeroom tirade.

Your team failed to make any adjustments in the 2nd half. Only had Julius' long run and a TD. The game was over after the third touchdown, but it didn't have to be.

good one year, crappy the next. sounds like my dear mom thread in how most teams plan these days. short sighted.

He did precisely what I would do. Look on in amazement at the sad display the players were putting on.

Coach Parcells is NEVER going to be a fiery catalyst. He is not the Bill Cowher type. He is not going to rally people with his enthusiasm.

Coach Landry was the same way. In blowouts, he behaved in the same way.

It is hilarious when fans think another human being should behave outside their character because that is what "they should do".

Yep. Seems like only the Pats have figured out how to have continued success in the cap era.

I understand giving up on a blowout if its in the 4th quarter...but we were up 21-0 with a LOT of football left to play.

And if you don't think Parcells isn't a fiery catalyst...then I've got some real estate on the moon you should take a look at.

Parcells is not a cheerleader. He will not pump his fist and say "let's go" after a big play. That is what I was talking about.

Back to the game, the Commanders had already rolled us over. And I don't think the rest of our staff was prepared for that. Coach Parcells has already said he regretted not overriding his assistants.

What we are seeing here is a great head coach being dragged down by very bad assistants. And yes, that is partially his fault.

Calm down bud. I don't think the problem in Dallas is Bill Parcells. You can't blame the guy for taking that kind of money to coach again. But your wrong about his heart. He still wants to win, now whether or not that happens only time will tell I guess.
