Parcells is not a cheerleader. He will not pump his fist and say "let's go" after a big play. That is what I was talking about.

Back to the game, the Commanders had already rolled us over. And I don't think the rest of our staff was prepared for that. Coach Parcells has already said he regretted not overriding his assistants.

What we are seeing here is a great head coach being dragged down by very bad assistants. And yes, that is partially his fault.

Gotcha about the cheerleading thing.

Whats up with the assistants? I'm not too familiar with them. I do think there's something to be said about not having Bellichick as an assistant anymore.

Any chance you'll bring back Joe Avezanno? that guy was hysterical :D

Anyone that thinks Coach Parcells on his own as a solitary unit is the same as Parcells with his staffs that he had with the Giants, Jets and Patriots is a complete imbecile.

It isn't just little Bill. It is Tom Coughlin. It is Dan Hennings. It is Mike Sweatman. It is Al Groh. And so forth.

What is very upsetting is the fact that we have no quality assistants on this staff, nor has Coach Parcells been able to replicate what he had in the past.

Any chance you'll bring back Joe Avezanno? that guy was hysterical :D

I always liked Avezzano. He was a funny fellow. And better than DeHaven, by a mile.

Is it here in Dallas with his current players? Or is it still in New York? I would say BP has more love for New York than he does Dallas.

Our current team has no HEART, period! I'm not bashing BP but think about this for a second. When Jimmy Johnson was coaching the Dolphins do any of you honestly think he was giving his all? Or was his heart still in Big D? I would say JJ's heart is still in big D. It was his first chance to coach in the NFL and he was successful in Dallas.

We won't know for a little while but my guess is that BP will some how end his career as a Giant. Wellington Mara is gone and BP would love nothing more than to finish his career as a Giant. Maybe a team advisor or something else. Just my opinion though.
I disagree entirely.

I say he is especially fond of NY for obvious reasons and until he achieves the same somewhere else, BP will hold NY in the highest regard in his memories.

But I think a major part of BP's decision to return to coaching was the prospect of coaching for Dallas. You can tell he has always had a great deal of respect for the history and franchise in Dallas and even remarked that The Cowboys were as big as the Yankees or the Lakers. Being someone who loves winning, he could pick no place better to do it than the paramount Dallas Cowboys.

He also admired Landry and was drawn to the opportunity to follow in his footsteps so to speak in Big D.

I also agree and think he's held Dallas in high regard for a long time. He named his daughter Dallas for crying out loud. He wouldn't do that if he had some secret agenda against the Cowboys. He's building this team and it takes time. This team has been through a lot of changes since JJ left. I don't think the answer is to sack the coach and put in another system. I think that has been a big part of the problem these last several years. Too many drastic changes and systems that were given up on before they can take hold. I think we have to stay the course. Hopefully the tuna can do for the offensive line next year what he did for the defence this year.

Calm down bud. I don't think the problem in Dallas is Bill Parcells. You can't blame the guy for taking that kind of money to coach again. But your wrong about his heart. He still wants to win, now whether or not that happens only time will tell I guess.

Thank you.. Everyone has a shovel in there hand ready to bury Parcells. Which makes me just sick.. Where is yalls heart?

The key to winning in the NFL is staying away from the injury bug. IND got banged up a little...and they lost. NE has been battling injuries all year (losing) but they are getting healthy (be afraid). If we didn't have key injuries (Flo, Dat) we wouldn't be having these conversations. Parcells didn't expect Flo to go down early and have to thrust Tucker in the fire, but it happened. Some of us overreact too quickly. And I say "Us" because even though you're a little misguided, you're still a Cowboys fan. I just ask, be a little less critical and more understanding.

I was in no way questioning BP's lack of heart...I was simply asking where does Bp's heart feel or sit better...In New York(close to home) or in Dallas.

I actually think its the opposite.
I think BP would like to win SB's with Dallas. His(what I once thought) real calling.

Coaching Giants and other teams was just preparing him for a REAL team, organization. US.

The natives are becoming increasingly restless.

Bill Parcells isn't perfect, but as long as he makes more right decisions than wrong ones, I will support him (like it would make a difference). This team is better than last year's and not as good as next years. That applies to the staff as well. We tend to forget that not only does the team have a lot of new players, it has a lot of new coaches as well. It takes time for things to gell and the injuries don't help. Didn't BP say something to the effect that he regretted not overriding them at times?

Sometimes, even good teams get blown out. Some days you just don't have it. Usually, you recover and take it out on the next opponent. Let's hope that is what happens Saturday.

Looks like another very interesting off-season coming up rapidly. If it's as good as this past off-season, this team shifts into fourth gear.

Actually, Bigfoot, if Parcells or Jerry could capture him, would be a great offensive lineman- e may be a bit dimwitted, but I think you could isolate him one on one with any two defensive players in the NFL and he would get the better of it- couldn't you just see him mauling guys like Freeney, Ruckers, and Peppers. I think he could also play on the d-line- he would make a great nose tackle. Doesn't the Legend of Boggy Creek live in Fouke, Arkansas?- Do it Jerry, do it.
