He's not instinctive enough to roam free and diagnose plays. He's Dez on defense with a lot more sense and smarts. But football wise, they are equivalent: Limited route tree and limited utility on defense.

Trade him NOW, IMO. He's a pretty good player, but he's also not a natural leader. All those things - plus the possibility of injury given the hits he's taking for his frame - I would take 2 1sts round picks, 2 2nds and 2 practice squad guys for him right now.

Disappears after November according to the combined stats of his three year career.

He averages almost a sack a game from September to November. He averages half a sack a game during the regular season in December and January.

During the playoffs he averages a quarter of a sack, one quarterback pressure and two tackles per game.

I get the feeling he is coasting on his talent and has too many other distractions that diminish his focus on football.

That's my feeling as well. Not just distractions but his body wears down. He's too small for what he does. Zimmers challenge is to preserve him throughout the year and keep him focused. I think we have the right coach in place for at least that. I also think Parsons wants to be an all time great and will mature and do what it takes.
