For every Carpenter there is a Marc Colombo. For every Chris Canty there is a Marion Barber. You're not gonna roll 7s every time when picking up players, our scouting department must not be too bad, that # 9 kid seems like he can throw the ball around.

Nah, #9's a dud. He should be sitting in the bench behind Bledsoe. Ya know, Bledsoe could teach him a lot of things...

How to:

1. Pat the ball
2. Throw a pick-six
3. Get sacked

Truth is, Romo's garbage, and Bledsoe's #1.

Dragon...Out!!!!!

I think our Roy Williams, SS, not the pass receiver, has an injured shoulder. He's playing injured, but should take himself out to help his team. Abe Elam should be in there.

Roy Williams is the most mis-used player in the NFL.

We might as well get rid of him because we dont coach to his strengths at all and you can find someone to do the same things he does for a lot cheaper.

As long as Zimmer is around our defense will never take that next step.

I really believe this.

I just have to go back to the article by I believe Matt Mosely. The one where he talked about the defensive players just giving cold looks to the coaching staff, after another heartless, banal and uninspired coahcing performance.

Can anyone who goes to the games tell me that does he line up so far in the secondary that he cannot come up and support the run? How are they using him these days?

A couple of plays on Monday that I saw that were alarming to me were that TD pass to Schobel, he just kind of came up and threw a shoulder into him half speed after the catch and another one was during one of Westbrooks runs he just came up and let the blocker take him out of the play.

He seems to have lost some of his aggressiveness. I only see the games on tv so its hard to tell how he is really playing.

I would have to say that was a poorly played game by Roy. I'm a big fan of his but no 2 ways about it he did a poor job coming up on run support which helped lead the Eagles to over 200 yards rushing as a team. Roy is not alone in this bad outing.

Some sort of injury? Where'd you hear this? That would explain why he's playing a little timid.

He just made it up. He is not hurt.

They've been begging for the past two years to be turned loose. I'd be fed up, too.

Oh yeah? Well you could and should say the same for the players performance. D. Ware said himself that Philadelphia wanted it more! How the heck can they not want it?

He's been fairly quiet on the field...in more ways than one.

I don't see him ou there firing up the guys. I hate to say it, but seems since he found Christ, his game's gone to hell.

The suggestions that Roy switch to LB are simply ridiculous...he's not nearly tough enough for LB...that's not a criticism, he's not supposed to be a LB. Just because guy blows up WR's and lays a good lick on a TE now and again or drills a RB who's being held by some linemen does not mean he's ready to take on offensive linemen or FB's or stand up RB's who are running downhill.

Roy is NOT that player and he never will be.

If he indeed has an injured shoulder, that explains a lot, but I'll still add this, if it is his shoulder, then he'd better take the other advice and lose about 10-15 pounds to help his agility because once a guy like him starts having injury problems, his value will be reduced decidedly.

Roy should lose some weight and just be himself, and we should find some new coaches for the defense.

Hes hurt, why would Roy, the NFLs hardest hitter (we've seen him seriously drill some guys before) suddenly quit trying to fly in and make plays like he usually does? He has too much pride to sit on the sidelines and he knows how valuable he is to the team, even if hes hurt. I promise you at the end of this year, we'll find out exactly whats wrong with him. I'm guessing shoulder because looking at the game again he seemed to try to take on blockers with one shoulder, and seemed kind of timid.

I also suspect he's pacing himself somewhat. He's been throwing his body around for 5 seasons now and it has to be taking its toll.

i'd like to know why on the TD he was beat on, he was 3-4 yards BEHIND the receiver, in no position to make a play on the ball. he was playing that like a prevent defense.

pathetic.

I'm so tired about hearing Roy being misused.... You know great players can play in any system. Roy is paid to be a great player not a system player. Is it to much ask for a Safety to be able to cover a T.E and R.B.

no doubt.

was it possible to "misuse" LT? countless other "great" defensive players".

if a guy is misued and he was GOOD or great, he'd still make plays.

roy is not great and not even good at this point..

he's probalby writing a note, littered with misspellings, to leave for the next writer who badmouths him.

Roy has really been a letdown this season and is very overrated by people here although i do think he could be a lot of better if someone on the coaching staff knew how to use him along with the rest of his teamates. And please dont give me that crap about he leads the league in takeaways because how many games has been there been when he only had 1 tackle or 2 and didnt have any impact whatsoever in the game except getting beat down the field every other play. ok thats exaggerating but he does he beat so many teams that at times he makes henry look good. And now he doesnt even deliver that many big hits, he's become very soft... maybe its the lack of confidence but he looks horrible out there!

I would love to hear exactly how the coaches are supposed to use him. People act like we're supposed to play a full time 3-5-3 defense just to make Roy look good, regardless of all the pressure it puts on the rest of the secondary. Every time Roy plays up in the box, that's just added field the rest of the secondary has to cover for him. The rest of the secondary shouldn't have to suffer with added responsibility because Roy is so limited. If an opposing offense sends 3 WR's and a TE into the pattern, do we have to ask 3 secondary people to cover 4 targets because Roy can't be bothered with coverage?

He's not being asked to do anyting extraordinary. Much of the time he's been burned he's been playing Cover 2. That's such a basic football coverage. That's a coverage that John Lynch has built an entire career on. Is Roy even less athletically talented than Jon Lynch? That's sad. Here's an idea, how about Roy play like a Top 10 draft pick instead of everyone having to cover for him.
