Ok, I'm suggesting I would prefer Garrett as our head coach then Wade. Nothing wrong with either when your 12-1.

I think you have to be very careful with that kind of thinking. I never thought the Rams were as good with Martz as they were with Vermeil. I would absolutely hate to lost Garrett, but I don't think we can assume he'd do better than an experienced coach like Wade. Norv Turner is proof that a good coordinator doesn't always make a good head coach.

Garrett may turn out to be a great HC, but I wouldn't be willing to mess around with what this team has accomplished in order to find out. Too big a risk.

What is your point exactly, or are you just looking for another Cowboy fan to argue with? Why not go troll the Lion boards, I'm sure they'd love to argue with you.
Why don't you go troll elsewhere? I'm sure a "let's change our head coach" thread would go over better somewhere else, where they're not 12-1.

I hear ya, makes sense. Really I'm only thinking down the road if it comes down to losing Garrett or naming him our head coach and of course then it's assuming Wade has lost this team or his contract is up but something tells me we will never get the chance to find out.

I still think the Aaron Rodgers success was due to how much we had game planned for Favre.

Yeah, I agree to a certain extent mixed in with the fact that we became quite passive with a large lead. I think the main point here is that we can probably win in a shootout against any team in the NFC and so we (fingers crossed) should be ok to make it to Arizona...but obviously you all know that we won't beat NE without some solid/aggressive D like the Ravens and Eagles have put together against them.

"17-2" doesn't sound quite as nice as "12-1" in the grand scheme of things.

You went to the "Wade is a puppet" card because the defense didn't play well today. Too funny. Anyway, Wade is a BIG reason why this team is 12 -1 and NFC East Champs!!! :laugh2:

I think wade was the vet coach Jones needed to support his real choice which was Garrett but could not justify handing the job to a first year coach. An opinion....just like yours.

At this rate, Wade is going to hand Jason Garret the HC job.

Seriously though, at least we didn't give up 30+ like last season.

WADE is asking the same

Yeah, because that's what I said. Get off your horse, it's way too high. I've never seen anyone that likes to disagree more with fellow fans than you.

Wade brings nothing but a feel good feeling to this team. I for one am praying Garrett is handed the HC job. This defense is what it is, I'm not sure Dat himself could not run the same D.

This is just STUPID!!!

True enough, that's one of the down-sides to being successful. Same happened when we lost Wannstedt, Turner and Davis back in the day.

Still, having Romo kind of softens the blow!

Ya'll really need to stop worrying about New England for at least another month.

I've never seen so many fairweather fans bellyache after going 12-1.

I think a lot of the bellyaching is coming from the fact that this team is 12-1 but it still appears to be behind the Pats. And unless the defense tightens up... this magical season will not end on a positive note.

Well, it's better than making Mike Vick looking like an "all-star balla" one week and then giving up 39 points to Detroit a few weeks later.

Wow, a simple-minded statement from an obviously simple-minded person. You must twilight as a Commanders fan in ur spare time. So we should throw a party since we gave up 12 fewer points to Detroit this year, while still making Kitna look like a good QB and resurrecting Kevin Jones's career in the process? (It's rhetorical...don't answer)

I suppose your logic means that if we make it to the divisional round of the playoffs this year, it's great to be content since we only went to the wild card last year? (Don't answer that either).

Yeah, because you know any of these people personally. You have no idea what kind of fan someone is based on a post on a web forum, especially posts made in the heat of the moment.

Right or wrong, you'd have to just be cruising for an argument to club a guy over the head who says our defense played sub-par today. They simply did, and you watched the game, so you know. The fact that we won doesn't change that.

Let people talk about it (I mean they are going to, no matter how much counter-bellyaching you do anyway) for one night, when they wake up monday and the sun is just a little bit brighter because their team won a tough game the day before, they'll forget all about it.

Uhhh...we're 12-1. We just clinched the NFC East. Yeah, I'd say that's good enough reason to throw a party.

Well... mostly then. :)

You know Michael, what really bothered me the most is the tackling. There is no reason for someone to repeatedly run over you. At least not Detroit. Didn't they have the worse run offense in the NFC? That's gutless IMO.

Why is everyone considered a fair weather fan when they show concern for their team???

answer that question

the defense didn't show up today and it has put some doubt in alot of peoples minds today

Suggesting that we might change head coaches at this point is just obnoxious, whether you consider it fairweather or not.
