Where is the rule stated for how old a thread can be to not post in it?

I don't want to get dinged, so please clarify when the last post made to a thread is now too old to be replied to. I looked in the rules list (noted in the top banner), but I couldn't find it. If it's listed there, and I missed it, please tell me the Rule #.

Thanks

Please review site rules #12 and #14. Here are some additional helpful hints:
  • Check the date when a thread's last post was created. It will be displayed to the immediate right of the poster's avatar (see below). In my opinion, it would be prudent not to create a new post if eight or more days have passed already.

  • Check the Fan Zone page where the thread is currently located. It can be seen in the upper left-hand corner of the webpage (see below). Generally, week-old or newer threads will populate Fan Zone's first through third or fourth pages. These threads are generally safe to continue posting in. Threads that have drifted 10, 20, 40 pages, etc., off the Fan Zone's front page should not be posted in.

Hope this helps. :)
