I'm not sure how you make a whole movie out of it.

Yeah, I'm having a hard time remembering much about it...other than I obviously liked it. Pretty neat to see those characters come to life on the big screen though.

maybe some director finally decided that it's time to actually come up with a good story instead of recycling the same garbage

I would imagine it will have extended action scenes...

Jumanji was a really short book and that's how they pulled that one off...

It should be interesting. I have some familiarity with Spike Jones. He's a very versatile person. Actor, director, producer (Synecdoche, New York is his new production). I'm more familiar with his "Action Sports" work. His newest skateboard film, "Fully Flared" is a work of art. Seriously, it's phenomenal. It would appeal to many different types of people.
