Where to go from here?

What's the plan for this team? I mean honestly, what is our plan? This team has lost 3 in a row. I'm not throwing anyone under the bus because no one on this team has particularly stuck out to me. No one has executed to the best of their abilities. Everyone on this team looks depressed and borderline suicidal on the sidelines. They have no will to win. They have no passion. They have no energy. They have no team morale. This team looks like they hate everything Dallas related. Where do we go and what do we do?
Remainder of the schedule is as follows:

Eagles
BYE
@NYG
Vikings
@Lions
@Patriots
Bills
@Bears
Rams
@Eagles
Washington

Jets were a must win for this team and they blew it. They blew it against a 0-4 team. This team is going to get steamrolled against teams like Minny, NE, and the Lions. We're 6-10 at best. Even if we somehow made it into the playoffs, is it worth it going to the playoffs to get steamrolled and pushed back a draft pick? I know everyone called me crazy and/or stupid last week for saying we should tank, but has anyone changed their mind? What would be the consequences of tanking? Do you guys honestly think it's worth it to go 8-8 and get a middle of the road draft pick when we could pick top 10 or even top 5? We are going to get massacred by some of these teams. Our starters are dropping like flies. Why don't we test the depth of our offense and defense in some of these games and see truly what we need to draft? Thoughts?

I totally followed your first Tank post’s line of thinking and still do.

I agree. I do believe widespread wholesale coaching staff changes infused with top of the round draft picks could help change a rotten to the core culture that has emerged this year.

I took the personal name calling for being a small minority of support for this unpopular way of thinking that you introduced in the other post.

Top to bottom wholesale coaching and personnel changes will not ultimately change who the owner of this team is but some kind of new blood with both coaches and fresh high draft picks could possibly alter the current status quo at least

Picking low accomplishes nothing

Hopefully a fresh newly selected puppet coach could accomplish more than the current regime has in getting closer to a trophy in spite of the meddlesome owner ways.

It doesn’t change the owner status but it would change a lot of other things that need changing.

Baby steps.

what’s another 23 years, I mean really, lol

I believe they must make a change and make Richard the Interim HC and hope he can turn this thing around. But only for motivation, and that he’s young and can relate more. My bet is this happens at the bye.
I was thinking that way until someone pointed out that the D has gotten worse since he got here, and that appears to be the case.

Who we tradin' out top pick for this year? Anyone still think the Cooper trade was worth it?

As much as I would love to see this happen, there is no way JJ is dropping HIS guy mid season. He has spent waaay too much PR on the JG gravy train. And, I mentioned this in a game post earlier, but the problem is that JJ IS happy with JG.
8-8 is PERFECT for a businessman! It gives underdog lovers something to believe in and homers can always walk away genuinely going next year is THE year! JG keeping this team middle of the road keeps the fan base HOPING.

AND HOPE SELLS BABY!!!

Until the fan base actually threatens to hurt JJs bank account, JG is more then welcome to keep driving this mediocre bus.

My hope is that the fan base really is at that breaking point. I know it’s the most vocal I’ve heard us, collectively speaking. Maybe JJ will finally start listening...

I feel like the outcome of the iggles game will decide a lot of things.

If we lose, JG could possibly be fired (probably won't), but at least the pressure of 4 in a row has got to shake up Jerry you would think.

If we win all goes back to normal as far Jerry is concerned IMO, because he will probably take the philosophy that you don't fire a 1st place HC during a bye week etc.

After today, that schedule looks absolutely terrifying!
:omg:

Play the Eagles next Sunday.

Win? Go into the bye in first place in the East and the losing streak is behind us.

Lose? Fire Garrett during the bye week.

Oh please. We both know this ain’t going to happen. It’s sad but true.

Nice post and perspective. Agree.

I hope this happens. I hope to God it happens

If they don’t get rid of Garrett, the front office is just selling the same BS .. as usual. Just more of the same garbage ! I expect a scapegoat fire. The Jerry special.
