Where was Davis?

Did they even suit him for this game? Our best running back was lost for the game, so they ran Zeke. Fair enough, but he's a shell of his former self, and we have another capable running back in Davis. No, he's not as good as Pollard, but he has some abilities, and with both Davis and Zeke we would have had a better chance to keep the running game going.

I kept yelling for them to put Davis in. They never did. They even used Lamb for some running plays and short, run-after-catch passes, and he's not a running back.

Zeke is an excellent blocker (except as a center... LOL), and I think they wanted experience on the field. I agree, though, that Davis would give them some juice, but I don't think they wanted him out there in pass protection.

You're right, but they could have switched it up some, give Zeke a break. I don't think he can carry the full load anymore.

He was in for a play, whiffed on a block that almost sidelined Dak.
This is a huge factor here. At this level the ability to block carries a ton of weight, and if you can't do it it makes it very tough to get on the field, especially against a dominant front like SF.

Coaches hate using unproven players when it's win or go home time. Davis did play they just wouldn't hand him the ball.

He was in for a few plays, but we didn't want to use him we wanted to go pass happy

The play Davis in for should have been a run play. Our dumb coaches left a guy with limited playing time to block…

Thats one thing Zeke still does well…so where he is on a play? On the sidelines…

Regardless of Pollard being injured and Zeke showing the mileage, the staff continues to ignore depth at the RB position. And, we have Hilton, Lamb, Turpin, etc to use out of the backfield or end arounds...
It's like Moore has been infected with the Garrett gene where they refuse to pound the running game late season when the weather is crap or if you want to control the clock.

They should of had him run a few times to find a spark. Without Pollard, Dak was like 2022 Flacco.

Lol, right because the UDFA RB who sucks was going to make a difference!

It looks like a coach trust.

Apparently Kellen did not trust Davis' inexperience in this kind of playoff pressure game conditions.

And apparently Malik would only have played,... if there was an Zeke injury.

I was calling for davis all night trying to figure out idf he was even active given MIA.. apparently the coaches decided Zeke could finish but that ridiculous we had very little to no run game even with Pollard and needed a third pair of fresh legs after pollards injury Malik was necessary yet not used. I blame moore or whomever though it was ok to not use every resource available..

Our offense struggled because of the OL and inability to have an affective run game and came back to pass happy obvious one dimension football and then even pass protecting and wr separation was a inconsistent.

once again our OL got man handled and that why we lost IMO., sure Dak INTs didn't help but qbs all of hem tend to try and make plays when they feel that all there is on offense is try and make plays that might not be there..not letting dak completely off the hook but our offense against the rams 18, 21 9ers, and now this 9ers game our OL did NOT show up with a run game.. each loss no run game and very little time to throw.. its pretty pbvious thats the bigger issue.

need more phycal LG and either Steele back or new RT.. Tyron and Peters are older and cannot be counted on but more for depth swing guys next season.

I didn’t matter. Moore only ran the ball 16 times.
thats why it would have mattered give Davis 10 carries plus some targets after pollard went out. Not abandon the run and make our offense easy to defense ie one handed one dimensional and even then the OL wasn't creating much of pocket.
