I actually enjoy sitting through the selections during the first round it adds to the drama, especially when a team makes an unexpected pick and you start to see a couple of players fall. I don’t sit through all the picks after we make our selection in the second round. I hit the DVR and record the rest of it. I watch bits and pieces of the draft after that and FF to our pick.
I can't agree with you more. I'd be watching right from the start whether or not the Cowboys even had a pick. Who knows when a team will trade up for the next Mitch Trubiski? Teams trading up, all kinds of good stuff. I'm not missing any of it.

You just get paid for the unused Vac. days? All I have to do is take Friday off, but I usually take the entire week. I have to do something with all of these days.
I WISH. I work harder and spend more when at home than I do here. Now i have 3 days off every other week built into my schedule so I just don't need much time off anyway. Except when I goto Port Aransas in June.

At home, alternating between ESPN and NFLN to space the talking heads out because it is over the top talking during the entire process and I can take just so much of Kiper getting on his high horse and channeling Sam the Eagle. Watch his face when he is on camera and not talking, he looks just like Sam the Eagle.

I think they could have spiced it up this year by having death row inmates introduce the 3rd round picks.

LOL no problem. I used to tell people that I'd rather be consumed by maggots than not take all of my vacation days. Even sick days. Sick or not, I take them all!! I say that because that's my situation. Everyone has a different situation. People do what's best for them. Then throw life in there, kids, obligations, and what not. It's never been easy. I've only been dedicated to the draft since 2016. Because I can.

I just hope you at least get paid for unused time. Or can roll it over.

What, you don't like bud light, or the commercials? I swear they use toilet water for their beer. I'll only drink that if all other beers are off the board. Or I'll trade back to another location.

Taking a little alcohol break + with the Cowboys pick being so low, I will probably watch it at home.

Got a group of friends (with various NFL teams) meeting at the Gaylord Texan sports bar to watch it.

It's my favorite time of year. I can't ever do a bar again because sometimes they don't do Audio and play music instead. I keep it at the crib, cook wings and jalapeno poppers and drink it up. I should probably film one of my draft reactions because it might go viral when I smash my TV when the eagles take Bijan and we take a TE!

Mostly Twitter and occasionally tune into whatever coverage I come across first on TV. Love the draft, but hate the coverage anymore. Back when it was a Saturday/Sunday thing I pretty much cleared my entire schedule, and make a party out of it. Now to spend 3+ hours to watch 1 round on a Thursday doesn't get me as excited. If they would cut down the time between picks and make the broadcast half as long without as many commercials, I'd probably get more into it.

Can anyone give me an approximate time the Cowboys will be on the clock? I don't want to sit through 25 selections! LOL
According to the schedule my friend sent me (he's setting up one of the trucks at The Star), the Cowboys are picking somewhere between 9:40-10:15pm CST (subject to change).
