Where would the Cowboys finish in the AFC East?

3rd if all teams stay healthy.

Maybe 2nd if Rodgers is the player we saw last year.

honestly, i think that this team can hang with anyone and could compete with anyone - i dont think we are built to matchup with them the same way we are built to match up with the nfc east teams, esp Philly, but still our secondary could match up against any of them and compete.

Id probably say we end up 2nd behind buffalo but split with the other two teams.
Buffalo cant run the ball other than Allen and their defense is no longer what it was a few years ago. I think we have the defense to slow down Allen. Problem again will be the Oline for us.

You mean the same QB that cost them a shot with carelessness with the ball?
In Pete Prisco's new list of the 100 best players in the NFL, Josh Allen is #2 overall, behind only Mahomes.

Dak didn't even crack the top 100.

Bills
Cowboys
Dolphins
Jets
Pats

Cowboys defense levels the playing field.

Would certainly be the best division from a defensive standpoint.

I think they would finish first although the division would be very competitive.

Could you imagine Prescott throwing into that Dolphins' secondary twice this year?

I guess one could make a legit argument of either in first or last.
I mean if it is hypotheticals and we are off in never never land we can make up any scenario at all.

/sarcasm off

Considering the power rankings I have seen only Buffalo would be considered above Dallas. With what has transpired this week with Diggs there maybe forces at work that are unseen. So yes, I believe Dallas could win AFCE.
Something is always surrounding them. Last year was Punt God's situation. This year its Digg's situation. Just always something lately.

Just wanting to see how fellow forum members evaluate and truly gauge our team. Playing hypothetical, if the Cowboys were to switch divisions with the Patriots and we were to compete against the Bills, Jets and Dolphins, where would we finish?

The NFC is historically weak again and the AFC East is now considered the most competitive on paper. This is also assuming that all players remain healthy, especially a player like Tua which can be a deciding factor in the choice.

Have at and and speak your truth…….
2nd....

This.

Bills, 11-6
Jets, 10-7
Cowboys, 10-7
Dolphins, 9-8
Patriots, 5-12

AFC North could be tougher, IMO.

Judging from the replies there is a lot of faith in our Cowboys. As one of the posters stated I guess myself and others are still suffering a hangover from the Niners loss.

i was thinking a 3rd place finish because of the Bills stacked roster and Rodgers mastery over the Cowboys that he would bring to the Jets.

I remain hopeful………as I have for many many years now.

Disagree about the AFC North being tougher. The Steelers and Browns shouldn’t be as good as Miami (depending if Tua is healthy)…..

The other thing to watch will be the new possible, “pass first “ offense with the Ravens this season……the addition of ODB and the need to limit Lamar’s running may have them going through some growing pains
