Where would the Cowboys finish in the AFC East?

In Pete Prisco's new list of the 100 best players in the NFL, Josh Allen is #2 overall, behind only Mahomes.

Dak didn't even crack the top 100.
No doubt Allen would be above Prescott in any ranking but I still question his actions in crunch time, game/season on the line.

To me, Allen is that strong armed QB that feels he can pass against any defensive player. I do not see Burrow, Herbert or Lawrence like that. The difference between Mahomes and Allen is touch, Allen does not have touch on the ball and Mahomes is the best in the league at it.

Even Rodgers doesn't do it, he is the master of catching the DB not looking at him to throw by his ear. He is also a great touch passer.

I'd say first because I think Buffalo is over rated and our defense would shut them down.

Dallas
Buffalo
Miami
NY Jets
New England
Remember back in the day, from the NFL-AFL in 1970 through 2001 - the last season before the realignment - half the conferences' divisions had FIVE teams....and in the 1990s and 2000-2001...some divisions had SIX teams?

Judging from the replies there is a lot of faith in our Cowboys. As one of the posters stated I guess myself and others are still suffering a hangover from the Niners loss
I totally get that but the Cowboys have a really good roster. Great defense. Pretty good offense. They will win a lot of game again this year.

It all just comes down to you-know-what (January) and who (#4).

I loved the NFCE with the Cardinals. All 5 teams had their moments and division games pretty much meant war. Miss those days.

That was also in the days of Pat Summerall and analyst Tom Brookshier!

Id love nothing better than to see #11 and #4 hoisting the Lombardi together

I have to look at the AFC quarterbacks vs the NFC qbs as a point of reference

Mahomes,Burrow,Allen,Rodgers,Herbert,Lawrence,Tua, Jackson….hell, add Watson too for the AFC. ( yes, I know the Browns sucked last year)

vs

Hurts, Dak, ….,and because of his team,Purdy?

we all know it’s a team game but the AFC is stacked with the best quarterbacks and that’s why I’m buying the “Weak NFC”. After the Eagles and Niners which team is a serious threat to compete with us?
Seattle. Some “experts” are propping up Green Bay, Carolina and Detroit.

Whatever “expert” opinion sells the best is what we’ll hear most often.
thats true enough. Depends on which talking head we are listening to.

lots of bandwagoners already on the Eagles and Chiefs teats…but for good reason

not many championing our Cowboys as world beaters, and I’m just fine with the lack of hype

We seem to do better when we’re overlooked.

I'm confused. Wasn't the NFC East far and away the best division in football last year? NFC East was 32-12 against non division teams. That's pretty ridiculous. AFCE was 25-18 and was 10-10 vs the NFC.

But to contest that causes debate$!
