Where y'all going on a holiday this summer?

As we are now nearing Victoria Day long weekend (your Memorial Day long weekend is next weekend), which is basically the official start of summer in Canada, thoughts turn to summer holidays.

Have you booked yours yet?

Mrs CCF used her persuasive skills to talk me out of another Disneyland or Walt Disney World holiday this year and to head back across the pond. We had previously been to Scotland, England and France (she has also been to Northern Ireland and Eire) so she chose Italy this time.

We go to Rome, Florence, Bologna, Pisa and Venice, then back to Rome for 5 days with a day trip to Naples and Pompey.

We leave six weeks today.

So now the countdown is on.

Going to Lake Anna here in Virginia in June for a week. Then to the Outer Banks (North Carolina) for a week in July. In between I'm going to Rome for a few days for a "business" trip that will have a lot of fun involved as well.

Then in August, the family and I are going to Canton for the Hall of Fame Induction.

sailing out of seattle.
leaving soon, very soon.

then in august to amarillo,tx.
may not seem like a vacation destination but we used to live in that area
and i am really looking forward to going back and seeing old friends.

We spent a week in Miami (sucked) and a week in the Cayman Islands (great time) so far this year.

I still have about eight more days I can take off. Providing there isn't a need to take off several other days this year, (sick, long weekends in Dallas, etc) the wife and I hope to go back to Italy this year.
