Where is the formation that uses a FB? Several teams the Cowboys have faced go to a pro set with a FB to lead. Why Dallas does not utilize a FB ever is beyond me.
Food for thought.
Imagine paying a player at their position, the 4th highest salary ... and only using them on special teams.
Many teams don’t even carry one anymore. The traditional lead blocking fullback is pretty rare.
Considering how much Garrett’s offense appears to try to mirror the 90s Cowboys, it’s a bit surprising but you can’t hold it against him considering it’s the direction the league has been going for awhile.
Personally—I still think it can be a valuable asset on the offense but it’ll mean less snaps for Jarwin, Pollard or Cobb.

Well said.Insult to injury, the Cowboys actually traded for Olawale as well, after the Raiders signed away former FB Keith Smith.
So, in summation, let your then-starting fullback leave in free agency, traded for fullback from the team that signed yours, handsomely paid the guy, and then don't play him.
It is impossible to get return on investment for something you never use.
It's become more of a passing league. FBs are mostly out of style now.

And yet we build a team based around the running game.
