Actually, we didn't. George was signed on the eve of 2004 training camp, after Hambrick had been let go earlier that spring. Not that I don't get the gist of your point; the fact that we made it to the playoffs with Hambrick as the starting RB in any season paired up with anyone else is pretty astounding.

While we're on somewhat of a related subject though, I wonder what happened to Darren Hambrick's comeback attempt this summer? I remember someone posted something here in the spring about the weight he was losing and the training he was doing to get back in the league.
