Which 1st rd prospect makes the biggest impact?

Daxton Hill's my #1 choice for potential impact. He has some pretty scary potential if Dan Quinn schemes him in a specially designed role like he did with Parsons.
I have Dax in my top 5, but question if they would take him. Really believe he could be that chess piece in our secondary.

offense:
wr treylon burks,arkansas
wr chris olave,ohio st
og kenyon green,texas a&m

defense:
de travon walker,georgia
de jermaine johnson,fsu
lb nkobe dean,georgia
We are on the same page, outside of Dax Hill who I really like.

#6 Edge (I have my doubts, believe all are gone)
DT-Wyatt (All indications Davis will go in the teens)
WR (I am expecting at least 2 to be drafted ahead of us)
C-Linderbaum (the news of Kelce returning makes him a real possibility)
OG-Green/Zion Johnson/Tyler Smith (Will Green's poor testing drop him?)

OT-none (I expect all Tackles gone, kind of like the edge)
LB-Dean (extremely undersized, but great instincts, won't have Davis/Wyatt in front of him)
S-Dax Hill (swiss army defensive back that can be used as a chess piece)

All indications are the Cowboys want to address their OL and WR with the two top picks, which is why I have them in bold.

Despite their sizes, I believe both Dean/Hill have star potential, but I don't think either player will be in play with the Cowboys.

My top choice still hasn't changed, Green is the ideal fit and can fix our run game in a hurry. I'm intrigued by Burks who I see as a Dez Bryant type of talent, but the run game has to be the focus. Believe there should be a good receiver there for us on day 2, more so then an elite offensive lineman which I see with Green.
The Cowboys are reconstructing their offensive line. The Cowboys have have a 1 and 2 receivers (Gallup is getting signed). I would say the offensive linemen they draft will be given the left guard spot. Unless the receiver is clearly the top player on the board, I would think they could find a 3rd receiver later.

A receiver like Gallup was, a former 3rd rounder who was considered a good route runner. I do like Burks, but I believe fixing their OL is the top priority. I'm expecting OL/WR to be within our top 2-3 picks.

I agree, I want Metchie but don’t think they want two receivers coming of ACLs. I am hearing that Gallup will get 10-12 million a season.

I think Karlaftis could be there at 24. I like him especially with Parsons rushing. Projects more as a pass rushing LDE, but I believe he can rush from the right as well

However I do think in term of immediate impact, its likely one of the interior OL. Green has a better chance at lasting after the combine. I think he would be probably be your player most likely to come in and be close to dominant outside of Lindenbaum. Even with the Eagles extending Kelsey, I think Lindenbaum is still unlikely to be there

i have no idea if the cowboys even like Linderbaum,if the past history is anything to go by then they might actually draft Green over Linderbaum.

i like those 2 mammoth ot's...penning n iowa and raimann central michigan.
if either are there at 24...they could easily be our pick.
and either makes an impact on our line...day1.
tough.
physical.
athletic.
and both mammoths.
your off the edge of the map with both.
here be monsters.

Linderbaum's measurables are yuck but he is a terrific college player that is probably more 'ready now' than several other 1st round prospects.

Linderbaum
6-2, 296, 31-1/8'' arms

Rodney Hudson
When drafted: 6-2, 299, 32.5" arms
NFL listing 315 pounds
3x Pro Bowl
1x All-Pro (2nd team)

I’m thinking DE because I think Jerry is not done cutting dead weight salaries. There are a lot of DE’s in this draft and if they could get a good player then Lawrence’s days are numbered. If Lawrence stays, then take the best player available at OL. OT Cross, Penning or the Iowa C Linderbaum.

Thing is, defensive ends usually have steep learning curves. I agree about the future need, but not so much as the biggest impact.

I know we had success with a smaller Center in the past with Stepnoski, but our other undersized centers have really struggled at the position. However, like Osa, Linderbaum is a former wrestler who knows how to use leverage, which is why he has shown success against, bigger/stronger players. I wouldn't be mad with the pick, but I would also have some reservations how good he will be on the next level.

I do believe outside of Dean/Hill, OL or WR would have the biggest impact next season. I am in the minority and actually like Karlaftis, but believe all the edge prospects will be pushed up and over drafted due to need. I believe the same about the Tackles.

Like Metchie, but also would be fine with this group: Pickens, Watson, Tolbert, Bell. There should be good quality on day 2 to chose from.
