 Kind of off topic but i was wondering what you all think should be the next city to expand too and what city you would like to see have a nfl franchise. Anywhere in north america no europe.

The NFL better NEVER expand again. Did I forget to say never?

The talent pool in the college ranks is already thinned out enough. Money that has to be shared is thinned out enough. The current playoff setup and division breakdown is perfect as it is.

They want a team in LA already so they better get a team to move their. If they wanted to expand their, then they should of done that instead of houston at the time.

NO MORE EXPANSION!!!!

I think Toronto has the best chance because of their support for the Buffalo Bills; it's also in Canada which allows an international flavor to our football -- but that's the most foreign flavor I'd want.

Sadly it'll never happen, even though theoretically there IS a big enough population base to support an NFL team. The Commanders would lost a HUGE chunk of fans, and Snyder would never let that happen.

To the guy who said "Richmond" -- HA! We couldn't keep a AAA baseball team or even an Arena League 2 football team!
don't forget about the Riverdogs:D .Atlanta was going to move them anyway. i think chesterfield, Va would be a good spot. Va needs a team of some sort pro sport and before anyone says it Commanders are not in VA

Long Island, NY. Because there aren't enough New York pro football teams. ;)

Actually there is only one NY football team, Buffalo.

Some not so serious suggestions:

Beijing - so I could watch football and visit my brother at the same time.

:lmao2:

Atlanta - because bless Arthur Blank's heart, they've forgotten how to play it here.

LA? lmao thats a joke l.a is such a bad football town. I say toronto they r gettin the bills in 5 years plus i went to the cowboys bills game with my friends and there wore tons of fans from toronto. It is americas game but toronto is the 4th largest market in north america and do love there football up there. My 2nd would be another chi franchise.

If you want a large market then Mexico City, still holds the record for most fans in a football game.:laugh2:

None. The 32 teams consisting of 8 divisions with 4 teams each is just about perfect IMO. Another team would just muck things up.

none, as in all sports there are already too many teams.

In football that is the reason the qb play is so poor and many other positions, teams have to hurry people to play who should be playing special teams and learning.

In baseball expansion has done an incredible dis-service. There is no where near enough quality pitching for as many teams as there are and in turn guys are rushed. Baseball imo has been harmed the most by expansion but I wont get into the rest of it.

Same in hockey, they could cut about 8 cities out.

anwyay, no more expansion.

San Antonio, TX. I would prefer an AFC team, so that way I can still watch the Cowboys without having to buy the NFL ticket or go to a sports bar. Whenever, college or NFL games have come to SA, we have totally supported them. When the Saints came, so did the crowds. The Alamodome is always one of the better bowls during the bowl season, and it was a sellout. This year's Big 12 Championship was basically a sellout. SA is a football town....and prior to re-alignment, 26-5A was one of the top districts in High School Football.

I would want the Stadium built actually between SA and Austin so that way we could take advantage of the the population and media of the Austin and San Antonio area.......I would actually like to see an ASA Metroplex. It would be beneficial for Central Texas (San Antonio, Austin, San Marcos, New Braunfels, Seguin, Boerne, Kerrville, Bandera, Fredricksburg, Round Rock, etc.)

What would I call the team......San Antonio Venom (scorpion on the helmet), San Antonio Banditos, San Antonio Gunslingers (I loved the USFL uniforms and logo), San Antonio Marauders, San Antonio Armadillos......Honestly though, the more I have thought about it, the more I have come to see the Venom as an Arena Football League team.

Los Angeles had two teams and didn't support either.....even when one of those teams won the SB.....they do not deserve another chance, IMO.

Other places where I think the NFL might prosper

Lincoln, Nebraska........you see how rabid they are about the Huskers....imagine how they would be for an NFL team. I cannot think of a name for this team.

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma........Oklahoma loves football....they would definitely support a team. Maybe they can be called the Oklahoma Stallions or Oklahoma Outlaws.

Las Vegas, Nevada......Now I don't know if this would actually work, but I think they would have a huge following. The Las Vegas Gamblers would make a great addition to the NFL.

Portland, Oregon. The Great Northwest has some rabid fans. I know the Ducks have a huge following. I don't know what you would call the team....perhaps the Oregon Sasquatch....who knows....but I have seen how they support the Blazers, even through all the poor seasons, talk of leaving, and all the players getting arrested....these fans are definitely loyal.

A week or so back, Larry Miller, the owner of the Jazz (and super rich) said that it's just a matter of time before Salt Lake City will get an NFL franchise.

SLC has hosted the Winter Olympics and they have the population to support a team. Also, I live about 55 miles from SLC and I could go see the Cowboys everytime they came to SLC...so that's my vote!

;)

Nome, Alaska - Just think about seeing an NFL football game played while the Aurora Borealis dances in the sky above:D

Honolulu, Hawaii - finally make games played in Aloha Stadium mean something. The visiting teams could get there early in the week and enjoy the scenery:bow:

Honestly, the NFL has more than enough teams as it is. We don't need anymore draft picks wasted by semi-pro teams (i.e. Cardinals, Eagles, etc..):lmao:

Mexico City now that would be awesome! the Cowboys are huge in mexico but i dont think havin a team would hurt their popularity. San Antonio i dont think is happening anytime soon. the city for whatever reason doesnt believe they can maintain both the Spurs and a football team. i remember when i used to live there there was talk of bringing an MLS soccer team but even that didnt get done. Austin i dont see it happening either
