This game was the equivalent to someone punching you on the face and letting them do it again.

Yup shouldve played man since the start especially since they knew from last year they did well playing man. who cares if you get run over as long as you hold them for 3 @ the redzone.

If everyone was so eager to heap praises on Garrett for us going 6 - 1 then you have to lay this turd at his feet.

Sounds good to me, but I still will praise him for getting us to 8-4, when everyone thought we would be 4-8 at this point.

If this team doesnt make the playoffs with a 6-1 start, Garrett has to go. I cant see how Jerry can spin it that he stays. I just cant

Agreed here... but I think we will finish between 10-6 and 11-5. Here's to hoping the either that the Seahawks finish 2nd in the West, the Eagles start struggling, or the Lions... do what the Lions do, and make that good enough.

I agree with you 100% but I have little doubt Jerry will bring his boy back. Jerry would rather be "comfortable" with the coach than win.

There were a few play calls that left me scratching my head. Not a big deal.

For me I always point to our passing scheme. It's just unimaginative and relies to much on our players making a play outside of the scheme.

This passing offense needs fixing. Please don't throw stats at me because most of our big plays come off of improv.

That means dumping Garrett... Until that happens, it will remain.

Coaching is a big issue with this organization, and Jerry running around like he's running everything doesn't help.

You have teams that run hurry up offenses a lot and we don't train for it in training camp. We were tired, as if we only train for that when we have to play a team like that. I would run these guys in to the ground to make sure they're in shape for any offense thrown at us.

Playing zone against teams that like, you're begging to be embarrassed. Not having a BIG MAN presence in the middle, is hurting us. We need a star or two on defense. I don't see any.

Offense is a smoke and mirror offense. Our passing game sucks because of scheme/QB/receivers. Our running game is good, but if teams sell out, then there you go.

I put this loss on the entire coaching staff. I dont even know if there was actually a game plan in effect in this game. Looked like a JV team today. Horrible. There is no excuse. You cant lose in your own house in the biggest game of the year to your biggest rival in that fashion. Its a disgrace. Im hoping for us to give it back to them next game, but i dont see it happening.

I said this in another thread, but I think it bears repeating here........................If we tank and miss the playoffs after a 6-1 start, I really don't know how you justify an extension for this coaching staff.

agree. Marginal players cannot be turning the ball over. He could be cut tomorrow and I would be fine with it.

The guy cannot handle hits from NFL players. Every contested play with him is a disaster waiting to happen. He can get open vs air, but that's not all there is to football.

He won't be. Our receiving corps is not especially deep. The fumble was a killer (sort of) but on the other hand the guy consistently makes plays, which is more than I can say for Williams.

I wish we would post a weekly passing chart of where passes are thrown. It just seems like we rarely attack the middle of the field in the pass game.

IOW, I'm blaming Linehan.

Also, I gotta question what Dooley is doing. With the exception of Dez, I've not seen any progression out of our WRs. Street, Harris .. someone should be able to step in and give us something there if they are taking up a roster spot. And in Williams' case, it seems like he has regressed if anything.

Some of the play calling was awful. I remember the fumble by McCoy and they were in a 3rd and 2 and ran a bunch formation on the right, crowding everybody with such little space. Nobody on the left to even threaten that direction.

Wait, I thought 'Garrett had built this team' to be a contender for a decade? And we gave to ask: who is at fault?

Good one guys

It's the same story every year. Our passing design hasn't changed. It is the same story with our number two, the last guy being Miles Austin. He should have been tearing up the slot.
