With all the talk about us drafting a WR, in the 2008 NFL Draft, which WR, would fit Dallas' offense and why: DeSean Jackson (Cal), Harry Douglass (Louisville), Mario Urritta (Louisville), Malcom Kelly (Oklahoma), Robert Jordan (Cal), ect.

Help me out on some other WRs in college that some of you know about that I don't.

Of those you have listed, DeSean would be the one I'd take. I was turned off by him because I really only considered him a return man, but having watched some of his games lately, I am warming up to him. He's having a down year compared to last year, but a sprained thumb will do that.

Of course, taking a WR in the first usually precludes them being your #1, but the fact that he could man the #2 spot and return kicks bumps him up a bit. I think he is a much better WR prospect than Ted Ginn Jr. who was just a return guy.

Maybe Jackson will be available in the 2nd round. A WR that fills a need doesn't have to be a first rounder.

Whichever WR we do pick, I hope he has an extra gear for deep routes to bring to the table.

Agreed. There are other WR I would choose over Jackson, I was just sticking with his list, in which case Jackson provided more potential positives than the others.

Jackson, Manningham ........I wanted Sweed prior to this year, but he's not a 1st round WR ........IMO

I'm a big fan of signing proven free agent wide receivers. The failure rate for 1st round wideouts is frightening. On top of that, it usually takes the good ones at least a year or 2 to make an impact. Let someone else take the risk, we'll reap the reward when their contract is up. As long as we keep drafting well at just about all the other positions, this will keep working fine.

Right now, I would go with Jackson because he would be a perfect compliment to TO and Crayton.

However, down the road I think it will be better if we picked Manningham or Kelly- bigger WR's.

It hasn't been as bad in the last 5 years or so. That's cuz of all the rules making it incredibly easy for QB's and WR's.

Theres no way Desean Jackson will be available in the second round. To realize the impact that Devin Hester has had on the NFL just see the Ted Ginn Jr pick. Jackson may not go top ten but he will never get out of this first round with that special teams ability that he has

Ted Ginn Jr. and his 6 catches may push Jackson out of the first, lol.

Thanks I was gonna post something similar.

I would go after DB's and FS in 1st round... then sign a proven younger WR. It could work well.

You would think that the Dolphins GM should've been fired after that pick.........However, it could be that Ginn is just with the wrong team........Nevertheless, I'm glad we didn't him
