Which College WR would fit in Cowboys offense?

Too slow.

Tall, slow receivers with good hands do well in college, but not in the NFL.

He's 6-4, 217 and runs a 4.47 40. That's too slow? Have you watched him? He gets downfield in a hurry. Just because he is big and has great hands does not mean he's a a possession receiver.

desean jackson reminds me of peter warrick... good perhaps great straight line speed but body catches a lot of balls. his route running isn't good and he's small and will play small.

the kid to watch out for is malcolm kelly. he catches everything and he catches it out in front... great hands. great size too.

i have yet to see adarius bowman, but his stats are outstanding.

Deshean Jackson would fit our offense and team perfectly.
He would take over the speed wr routes that Glenn does to team up perfectly with TO.
He would also be our punt returner.
He would make the most sense to me.

He has talent, but I'm scared to death that he's gonna get broken in half in the NFL... that kid's WAY too skinny for the kind of hitting he's gonna find in the big leagues...

I'm a devoted Longhorns fan (as many of you are already well aware), so you can take this with a grain of salt, but I think that Limas Sweed getting hurt could play into the Cowboys' hands... he's now likely to fall to the second round, when he was originally projected to go in the mid-first round...

In some ways, Sweed reminds me of Keyshawn Johnson (sans the 'tude), but he's MUCH faster (he's averaged a hair over 33 yards on his TD receptions)...

So I say roll the dice, do NOT draft a WR in the first round, then hope that Sweed's still on the board in the later 2nd round... you might even trade down a little with one of the first round picks, add another first day pick, then draft Sweed in the 2nd...

I think ol' Limas "Bean" Sweed (sorry, had a Chris Berman moment there) is going to be a very good pro...

If you have something else, please provide a link. As far as looking slow, that's certainly your opinion, but I'm not sure how you can reasonably say that.

You don't draft #2 or #3 receivers in the first round. Drafting DeSean Jackson anywhere near the first round would be like the Dolphins drafting Ginn with the 9th overall pick. Of course they only reason they did that is because Cam Cameron is close friends with the Ginn family. That is grounds for immediate termination in my book.

You have to love Hardy's profile 6' 7", 220lbs, 4.5 40yd, good hands, proven success with >1 TD/game. I think we need someone more with a skill-set like T. Glenn. Smaller, but not a dwarf, but has quickness to go along with his speed. Someone who can also be a weapon as a PR/KR.

Maybe Jackson will be available in the 2nd round. A WR that fills a need doesn't have to be a first rounder.

There is no way in hell DeSean Jackson falls to the second round. Unless he gets arrested, or busted with 'roids or something. Even then it would still be unlikely that he would fall that far.
