Persoanally I hope the entire Commanders organization folds never to be heard from again. That would be neat.

Said jokingly of course, right CM! Because your quip could not possibly have any credence. A Commanders' franchise fold is a long way from a franchise rivalry! Tough competition only tests your metal ...what the Cowboys are made of from year-to-year!

Take the Eagles for example ...hind sight showed us to appreciate the 2005 spanking the Cowboys placed on us -- many Eagle fans would never want the Cowboys to fold! The beat down gives the Eagles and fans a greater appreciation for Eagle vs Cowboy games. These inner-divisional games are some of the most exciting games to watch! From an Eagles perspective, I hope all of the NFCE teams benefit from the 2006 Drafts/FA acquisitions.

This I can assure you ...Eagle fans everywhere look forward to playing any/all NFC-East teams in 2006 ...as Long as it's your "A" team against a healthy Eagles "A" team!

Whats the deal with Arrington? Do the Commanders actually save money by keeping him?

Oddly enough that's right. We have a 12.5 million cap hit if he's cut with his atrocious contract right now. Our options are as follows:

1. Cut and release now (12.5 million hit)
2. Restructure and keep
3. Restructure and trade
4. Cut after June 1 (I think the hit is then spread out to be 5 million this year and 7 million next year...don't ask me why...Adam?)

Jansen is Washington's best player. Washington might be in cap Hell, but I think it will be more like cap Heck when all is said and done. They won't cut anyone worth keeping.

We may let Arrington go, if a trade can be worked out and/or the CBA is extended.

Doing so would give us some cap breathing room for the future. I don't want to let him go but he did butt heads with some of our defensive staff, but when he did play he made some eye popping plays. Part of me thinks he'd do even better in a scheme that allows him to freelance.

I don't see us letting him go if the CBA is not extended though, because we would have zero space to absorb his cap hit.

With the mention of Jansen and Samuels, the title of this thread should be, 'Which Commander starters would you want?'. Do some of you really think that those pro-bowl caliber linemen will be cut?!

The best players that the Skins will release may be:

Walt Harris
James Thrash
Matt Bowen
Cory Raymer
Warrick Holdman
Taylor Jacobs

Brandon Noble (to retire)

we have silly fans that are still trading coakley for multiple 1st rounders, man.

Parcels and his tackles...Why is it that he had Rob P., who played his entire career at LT in college playing RT...and Tucker, who started 14 games the previous seaon at RT, playing LT.

No wonder I line was confused last year.

I'd rather have my 6th round rookie tackle playing right tackle than protecting the blind side of my QB. Tucker was set to be a backup who could come and fill in at LT for a few plays and possibly take over for Petitti. But Flozell got hurt and that put a monkey wrench into everything.

I'm not going to criticize Parcells for this too much. But, if he doesn't find a young guard to help replace Rivera or Allen and doesn't find a young tackle to help eventually replace Flozell, then he deserves some criticism.

Adam-

Any chance you have enough information on the Skin's cap situation to give us the actual lowdown? I know there have been a lot of articles lately but I know when it comes to the cap you're the final word.

Thanks!

I'm not Adam, but the answer is yes, he does.

From this thread: http://mb20.scout.com/fcpndhardcorefrm1.showMessageRange?topicID=55462.topic&start=21&stop=40

Adam outlines how the Skins would have to adjust current contracts along with the aforementioned cuts to get under a $95 million cap.
