Keep the long snapper= good ones are hard to find.
Reeves-looks like a good 3rd. If not too expensive keep him.
The hotel= depends on Free and McQ.
Hamlin- wait till end of season.
the rest - eh.
Romo does not even have to be mentioned.
We should also keep Crayton, agree on the rest.....

can we franchise flo again? to me that is the best answer. can't see giving a long term deal to him given his age and a 1 year deal would allow free another year to get ready.

Tony Romo (UFA) - Keep obviously
Flozell Adams (UFA) - let go - Not worth the penalties and price
Julius Jones (UFA) - Keep depending on Price. Not worth elite money
Ken Hamlin (UFA) - Keep depending on Price
Keith Davis (UFA) - Is probably the best ST player on the planet. Can't let him go
Patrick Crayton (UFA) - Keep for 3rd receiver money.
Jacques Reeves (UFA) - Getting better and better. Keep for 3rd CB money
Nate Jones (UFA) - Let go and let the younger corners get the chance
Marion Barber (RFA) - 1st round tender.
Chris Canty (RFA) - Big time run stuffer and still gets good push to qb. Keep
Jay Ratliff (RFA) - Same as above - keep
Tyson Thompson (RFA) - Fast but doesn't show enough to not give someone else a shot (Coleman) - let go.
Joe Berger (RFA) - Who??? Let him go.
L.P. Ladouceur (RFA) - Quality long snappers are hard to come by. - Keep
Cory Procter (EFA) - We have good young talent behind him. - let go
Evan Oglesby (EFA) - Again ... Who??? - let go.
Stephen Bowen (EFA) - Seems to get good pressure when he is in there. - Keep for one more year.
Tony Curtis (EFA) - I'm not a fan of keeping 3 te's to the detriment of Good, fast receivers - free up the roster spot - let go.
Remi Ayodele (EFA) - Better talent will be available and Tank is here now. If he isn't released before the end of the year .... let go.
Alan Ball (PS -- street FA) - Keep and let develop
Richard Bartel (PS -- street FA) - I would have rather kept the strong arm of Moore - let go
Quincy Butler (PS -- street FA) - Too much of an experiment - let go.
Alonzo Coleman (PS -- street FA) - Got great reviews during TC and would have already replace TT if he hadn't been hurt - Keep.
Rodney Hannah (PS -- street FA) - Great physical skills - keep for one more year to develop.
Mike Jefferson (PS -- street FA) - Is this the Receiver who couldn't beat out Miles Austin? If he is still eligible for the practice squad next year... leave him there.
Khari Long (PS -- street FA) - Don't know who he is or where he plays.. let go.
Marcus Smith (PS -- street FA) - Same as above.

I think Crayton will test the waters. A team like the 49ers would be interested. Jets, Dolphins, Falcons, etc. come to mind also.

Meh....Fodder....
Joe Berger (RFA) -
L.P. Ladouceur (RFA) - Depends on if we have another person who can long snap.
Cory Procter (EFA)
Evan Oglesby (EFA)
Stephen Bowen (EFA)
Tony Curtis (EFA)
Remi Ayodele (EFA)
Alan Ball (PS -- street FA)

why get rid of Bowen and Curtis. Curtis, IMO, is better than Fasano. He catches everything you throw to him. Bowen, along with Hatcher, can actually give us pass rush from the DE position. Canty and Spears can't. I really like having Bowen in the rotation. Ball may be on the roster soon, I hear he is impressing in practice. I would rather have Coleman than Thompson, I am so sick of Tyson. I also say keep Bartel. He has a nice cannon, and we need a developmental QB.

So on your fodder list I say keep

Bowen, Curtis, Ball, Coleman, and Bartel

On your keep list I say get rid of

Nate Jones, Thompson, JJ, and maybe Hamlin and Flozell

I am no expert, but from what I saw, Bartel has a much stronger arm than Moore. Moore's passes seemed to float to the receiver, whereas Bartel was throwing darts.

Here's our list of free agents after the season --

Tony Romo (UFA) - hmmm, let's see, I say let him walk ;)
Flozell Adams (UFA) - if we keep him, it better be for cheap, Mr. Yellow Flag better not try and command a huge salary
Julius Jones (UFA) - See ya, wouldn't want to be ya.....go to the Browns and become Orange Julius
Ken Hamlin (UFA) - he seems to play the same position as Roy, we need a coverage safety
Keith Davis (UFA) - ST dynamo, he stays
Patrick Crayton (UFA) - say hello to our new #2 WR
Jacques Reeves (UFA) - wow, he does have game afterall, keep him
Nate Jones (UFA) - don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya
Marion Barber (RFA) - our new #1 RB
Chris Canty (RFA) - great against the run, below average against the pass, keep him
Jay Ratliff (RFA) - our new starting NT, keep him
Tyson Thompson (RFA) - take your speed and your lack of a solid juke and make a straight line out of Big D and never come back
Joe Berger (RFA) - keep him, unless we find a better back-up
L.P. Ladouceur (RFA) - keep him, LS are hard to find, good ones anyway
Cory Procter (EFA) - keep him, unless we find a better back-up
Evan Oglesby (EFA) - who is this guy anyway, take a hike
Stephen Bowen (EFA) - Keep him definitely, he actually puts pressure on the QB, something Spears and Canty can't seem to do
Tony Curtis (EFA) - keep him, he runs great routes, catches everything, a solid blocker, plays special teams.....I say let Fasano walk instead. IMO, Curtis has way more upside
Remi Ayodele (EFA) - enjoy your last few weeks in Dallas, bye bye
Alan Ball (PS -- street FA) - nice project CB, keep him
Richard Bartel (PS -- street FA) - nice project QB, keep him
Quincy Butler (PS -- street FA) - good-bye
Alonzo Coleman (PS -- street FA) - keep him, let him replace Tyson Thompson
Rodney Hannah (PS -- street FA) - keep him
Mike Jefferson (PS -- street FA) - get the bleep outta here
Khari Long (PS -- street FA) - so long sucka
Marcus Smith (PS -- street FA) - hasta la vista, baby

Agreed. He has stepped up and I think can get #2 WR money elsewhere. I wouldn't be surprised if Dannyboy shows a little interest too

I think we could put the "Transition Tag" on him to keep him at least for next year.....

IMO, there's no way we let Barber get away. It wouldn't surprise me if New England didn't try to get him this offseason. Belicheck like him a lot and knows what a guy who plays like him can bring to a team.

Heck, who knows... Belicheck might like him enough to sign him even if we give him a 1st round tender. New England's late first rounder just might be worth it to Bill. I'm sure he'd love to re-build the Barber/Maroney backfield in New England.

Maybe they wouldn't, but I think the intangible that Marion brings to an offense just might be worth it to Belicheck. I don't think any other team would... but Lil' Bill puts a lot of emphasis on chemistry.

Transition tag is worthless, as teams will just put a poison pill in the contract to deter a players current team from matching (i.e. Hutchinson to the Vikes)

Yep. We need to make it where we at least get a first rounder if Belicheck tries a poison pill contract.

Or even better... just sign him before he's a free agent.

I was refering more to Crayton, who we have no control over once FA starts. At least it will cost teams a first rounder to get Barber.

That said, I agree with everyone worried about Bellicheck regarding Barber. I actually think it will likely be time to resign Barber to a long term deal.

We need to sign Reeves to a 3-4 year deal.

I like the way he shutdown Moss.

i liek the way he plays 12 yards off the ball no matter what the scenario is. o wait i hate that.

KEEPERS:
Romo
Crayton
Barber
Colombo
Newman

YES:
Hamlin (played badly against NE; may not be FS answer)
Reeves (pretty good #3 CB but not an everyday starter)
Julius Jones

INCLINED TO LET GO:
Adams (reserve the right to change my mind several times)
Nate Jones
Remi Ayodele (if Tank Johnson the future down the road)
TT (need real RB who can step in if starter(s) injuried/better return man)

Plus TRADE ROY

I would let JJ, Flo and Crayton go as they will get big bucks in FA and we will be able to add draft picks as compensation for them and none of them are irreplacable.
