Can you imagine having Charles Haley (pre back injury) and Ware as your starting DEs? Tony Tolbert was good, but those two together would be a QB nightmare.

We had the best long snapper in the history of the NFL during the 90s, Dale Hellestrae! The guy NEVER had a single bad snap in the regular season during his 11 years with us (he did have one in the playoffs though).

I don't even want to say Ware because I wouldn't want to displace Haley at DE. I wouldn't use Witten over Novacek due to chemistry. No one really, I guess.

Was Woodson starting in 1993? I know JW was one safety, don't recall if Woody was the starter or not the next year.

Also, sort of on a tangent... if we had Newman on one side, and a pre-achilles injury Smith on the other side... which CB would opposing QB's fear more?

Newman because of his speed.

LP Ladouceur has never had a bad snap either. Ever. I'd say it's a push between LP and Hellestrae.
