He got an injury settlement and is now a FA. The team never tried to bring him back. Dont know why any team hasnt brought him in for a look.

Would work him out AT LEAST if 100% healthy. Still have to churn bottom of roster, even small improvements will matter by post season.

It can only be Collins or Tapper.............but only 1

JSmith, DMC and Hanna were on PUP/NFI list......but all 3 could come back

probably only Hanna and Collins but Hanna is getting less likely every week

Would prefer Tapper over Collins if 100%. If only to help with the pass rush that we desperately need going forward. Looney is a capable backup on the OL.

Just for reference:

Players On Injured Reserve: Guard La'el Collins, DE Charles Tapper, QB Kellen Moore, CB Josh Thomas

Non-Football Injury List: RB Darren McFadden, LB Jaylon Smith

Physically Unable To Perform: TE James Hanna

Of the players on IR I think Tapper has the best chance to come back. I think Collins' injury is too severe.

You want the best player back but they have to be healthier than the alternative. And you need to need that player. Otherwise leave them stashed.

I'd say Collins gets the nod rather than Tapper.

I think any average lineman would like capable next to Smith and Frederick. I'm sure they make it pretty easy on anybody lol

What a great luxury to have.

I agree. I think we're in better shape as far as depth on the OL. If Tapper is healthy enough (and that's a big if) he may be able to help down the stretch. That said, Collins is a more proven player. Maybe he can come back and spell an aging Free.

Small college player released by two NFL teams without ever playing in a real game.

JAG, as Jimmy would say.

Yeah, I mean Collins for depth at this point. Although, I don't think he gets his starting job back from Leary. Tapper maybe, isn't he designated to return?
why do u say that? i thought you dont lose your job due to an injury...
