Travis Frederick is a full-go for off-season activities and should be our anchor all season.

Dak,Cooper and Gallup will have a full-season together.

Zeke will be eager to defend his rushing title and erase that poor showing vs the rams.

Defense w/Kris Richard...will be out for blood after an entire off-season of hearing chirping about being over-rated as a defense.

Don't forget about Rookie WR Cedric Wilson when putting this WR group together.

For the 23rd straight time we’re heading into conference championship weekend knowing the Cowboys will once again be watching instead of playing.

And apparently for the 9th straight year, we will have Jason Garrett’s robotic face and tired talking points once again leading this team as its head coach. And maybe worse, his unimaginative OC will be back calling the most vanilla plays for the most vanilla offense while we all watch the best, most imaginative offensive minds battle it out for NFL supremacy once again.

So help me with these questions after another frustrating playoff end-

1. Is this year just the beginning of something that leads to a championship? A young team on the rise? Or...
2. Is this the “Garrett ceiling”? Is this a perennial “pretty good” team that can only top out with a wild card win? We have 8 seasons of evidence. Is this the best we get from Garrett?

Which is it?

I wish I felt differently, but after 8 seasons, I think Garrett has topped out. Especially if he’s coming back with his OC who calls the most predictable game in the NFL. I love this team’s youth, and defensive talent but COACHING MATTERS. And if the same cast of characters return to coach, why should we expect something different?

Insanity - doing the same thing over and over again looking for different results.

Since 2007, Jason Garrett is the only thing we have seen over and over again. Players have changed. Assistant coaches have changed. So if Garrett stays you will get the same result, Garrett he is not Jimmy Johnson an excellent judge of talent (coaches and players). Garrett is darn sure not Tom Landry and offensive and defensive innovating genius as a Head Coach. He is Jerry and Stephen Jones coach for the Dallas Jonesboys. Since 1994, The Dallas Cowboys have not existed.

Fred will be back that will help . We have a young team that should be coming into there prime. Cooper gives us a proven #1 WR Maybe a TE emerges from the pack it would be nice not to have to revisit that position

Dak has made progress . In the last couple games he is getting rid of the ball not taking sacks and protecting the ball well . Dak and Gallup look to be developing some chemistry and that should continue . Dak will be better next year and the fact he dosent cost 30 million gives us money to spend on talent to offset Garrets coaching .

Its been a long time since we had some money to buy what we need open the wallet Jerry and get er done . Safety ,NT , quality Olineman and a better TE.

To your point Bullet I thought Garrett improved a bit by keeping the team playing hard even at 3-5 but his gameday coaching really dosent seem to be improving from what I can see .

I have always said we get out coached in the playoffs when everyone is good and coaching separates the good from the great that said We can throw a little money at our areas of need and possibly get a bit farther but to win a SB seems a daunting task

Because of Garrett’s inherent conservatism as a coach, he would be wise to hire an OC that is his opposite. A guy who is a risk taker to provide balance. Linehan is French vanilla to Garrett’s old fashioned vanilla. We need some flavor!

After Saturday Night....it hurt...but I also felt hopeful for the future.

It appears that both our coach and our quarterback or both trailers and they will only be pulled across the finish line buy an almost perfect team in good health.
A good draft, a free agent or two, good jumps by second-year players and of course good health we have a chance. I believe we can reach that ceiling of a Super Bowl despite Jason Garrett. But my glass is always half-full and having bourbon as its content makes it a little easier

There will usually be a 'whipping boy' when there is a failure...even of a single game and elimination type.

That is why Monday Morning Quarterback's Clubs were formed, only today, no one takes credit for their own just venting of their own spleens...

Head Coaches are always the first targets.

First off, how many losing seasons are credited to Jason Garrett?

Next, how many games have been played by Dallas in the second round of the playoffs, in the past three seasons?

Could Dallas have easily been in the NFC Championship Game the previous 2 times that they played Green Bay? Were they dominated by Green Bay, or ahead until the final seconds of both games?

Don't worry, it will usually be great players that are credited when there is entrance into the last or last two games...in the playoffs.

Be content with good play, but root for the top shelf. Few actually claim that, if not named New England...but that is sport. I like football and the Dallas Cowboys. I have seen all place spots by this team...but they are at least a very solid team, now. We shall see where the glamor leads in the near future.

Myself, with this off season's new contracts, this team will be very solid for at least a five year window, injury permitting. That's as close as real life and football gets.

Garrett ceiling. He's built a roster, but he's a liability for game/clock management, and coaching management.

Marinelli got pantsed by Rodgers in hurry up in 2016. Reports now that our defense gave Rams tells on our play calling. Having tells is a systematic issue across the team that should have been dealt with by the HC.

Remember the clown show meeting with Dooley getting rolled by Dez?

Signing Moore for QB coach. Keeping Linehan.

I used to think that whatever his failings on game day, Garrett was an effective manager for the team. No. His management of his staff is equally ineffective.

We knew before the season started, that run first was the game plan...no one panicked then.

I still think that a physical concept of beat the person over yourself is a valid direction in professional football. If not, then just hand out flags.

Dak was a development project. We didn't have effective guys developing him.

Give Dak a decent OC who makes use of what he can do, then we can evaluate Dak.

If we don’t change the OC I expect this is the ceiling. Although in 2016 we had the 6th scoring offense in football which would have put us in this top 4 bunch this year. But we also had the top Oline then as well. Amazing how much that has fallen now.

I’m actually excited to see what Dak could do with an innovative OC that will build an offense for he and Zeke. Some may not love Dak but I’m now convinced we can win with him. He’s the only QB outside of Romo that could run this crappy offense. Imagine what he might do with designed runs, roll outs, miss direction plays, crossing routes with Cooper and Gallup?!

Can't handle the pressure? Lmao. He was the only reason we didn't lose by 4TDs. Putrid defense, Zeke was terrible and the OL stunk. But yep, it's always all Dak...

my opinion, they get one year. if no superbowl appearance, its time for new coach. they are in great position with cap, they have a great base for the most part and if they cannot make it happen now, they never will be able to.
