Not true at all. Romo is a MUCH better QB than Eli. Eli is so overrated. If Romo was on the Giants with a terrific defense like they have he'd have 3 rings. If Eli was here we'd be the NFC version of the Browns.

I have already said in previous discussions on this topic that it's a virtual toss up and that the two are practically interchangeable. However, I'd still side with Eli because of what I've seen him do in post season.

I used the word "irrational" because some Cowboy fans think its completely asinine to place Eli above Romo. Even though 90% of fans, analysts, and players outside of Dallas would probably do the same.

If he gets the numbers you want from him it's going to come at the expense of Witten and/or Austin.

It could but it doesn't have to. Romo could simply throw for more yards/tds this year.

I highly doubt 90% of people would do that and even if that was true it just shows you how wrong some people can be. More often than not analysts take out of their rears. See all those clowns on NFLN.

Look, I’m not starting another Eli vs. Romo debate. In my opinion both Romo and Eli are in the discussion of top 7 or 8 QBs in the game.

If you can’t acknowledge that then I feel sorry for you.

Hate to break it to some of you but it’s not always about pretty numbers. Esiason and Moon had better numbers than Aikman. Would you take them over Troy?

Yea Nicks IMO is already a star. He has solid work ethic and runs great routes. Dez right now is a good receiver who relies heavily on his athleticism and physicality. I don't believe either GM would even offer a deal like this and I wouldn't either. I think Dez will be as good or even better than Nicks at some point if he keeps progressing. But Nicks is the better receiver as of right now. He's proven to be a legit #1 and open up guys like Victor Cruz.

I didn't bring up statistics. The problem is people like you listen to ESPN or NFL Network.

We all watch every Cowboy's game, but do you watch every Giant's game? I do. I watch every game in our division. It pays to know your enemy.

Do you know the differance between Eli and Romo? Eli knows his limits and can effectively manage a game. Romo thinks he can make great plays every single down but he can't. He is very talented but he tries too hard. Every throw he makes he is trying to score, which is his downfall if you can call it that.

You can't blame him, he knows he has to carry this team. Every year Dallas is superbowl or bust to the league and it's unfair. The man can make throws and plays Eli never could but it's expected of him.

If Eli throws an INT, aw too bad. If Romo does, he's a choke artist and is on ESPN until the next game. If Eli were here, he would get crucified. He's in the top 5 of picks thrown almost every year. He has cost his team more losses than Romo has.

The whole world watched as Romo led his team to a very difficult win in week 2, with a cracked rib and punctured lung. Pay the man his dues.

Romo said when we win it all "we will remember who was on what side of the fence."

Until Dez can step out of the child role and become a man, the Giants have the better WR. If Dez ever actually comes into his own mentally (and smarts), he will easily be better than Nicks.

Last year it just looked like he wore down as games went on. His conditioning was bad, not a good thing, but when you consider that for a huge part of that period he was playing hurt and not practicing during the week it's somewhat understandable. There was also a shortened offseason and he was coming off a injruy the year before. Even with all these things he still ends up 70 yards short of 1000 and 9TD in only his 2nd year in the league, that's actually pretty damn good. Yet people act like he's a bust

I have seen Nicks with some consistent bad drops - I have not seen Dez have bad drops.

For that reason I take Dez - that reason only - production wise Nicks is ahead I think but I also think that the NYG line gives Eli more time to get the ball deep than the Dallas line.

Also, he made 2 moves and cathes at the end of games to get 2 wins from the Skins - nice throws by Romo but the move on the CB was all Dez!
