Which Lesson did Jerry Learn?

Personally while not a huge big Mike fan I do give him a pass for last year even before the dak injury. It was unprecedented and for a new coach just impossible to develop a bond with players and most importantly a culture. Covid killed that. Then dak gets hurt and we know how that goes.

in his first true normal year here we are likely going to easily win the division and have a shot at winning a lot of games but the nfc is jam packed- it’s a really good conference with 5 teams really close and bunched together. While I am hopeful we can go on a really deep run this year in the post season I don’t think it’s necessarily championship game or bust for MM. We can easily lose to a very good team in the divisional round.

We had an up and coming young OC and an older very experienced HC.
Jerry let the young OC go and he became a fixture at his new team for many years and won a SB.

Fast forward a few years:

Same scenario. Only this time the older HC was let go.
The highly sought after OC got the HC gig and did very little in the ten years he coached before departing.

We are seeing Jerry facing this same scenario for a third time.
Which experience is gonna flavor his decision?

Bonus points to the Zoner who can put the names with my 2 examples.
I want to slap you. How dare you compare the JG disaster with what is happening now. I mean this in the kindest way. We finally have real leaders on the field and calling the plays. Solid combo. Thanks for posting brother from another mother.

I have confidence Jethro will screw it up again.

It's a tough situation because your messing with culture and consistency

Lol, I am not sure if your insulting or complimenting me.
The situation is the same, but obviously the coaches are different.
The only constant is Jerry, and curious what we think he will do?

Who knows . But we do know he’s eventually pooped on every good situation we’ve had. Winning is never enough.

No insult at all. I believe you read my intent correctly. My hope is we keep Big Mike for a few years and JJ tosses enough money at our OC so he decides to stay as he learns what a head coach actually has to do.

Thanks my friend
We are in total agreement!

I know this won’t be a popular opinion but as much as I like Kellen Moore, he’s not the absolute #1 key to our success around here. The #1 key to our success is playing QB for us. Not saying I don’t want KM here, but if we lose him or Dan Quinn it will be because we had a great year.

Coordinators are only as good as the talent working for them. Moore has been great but honestly he’s not been doing this long enough to make the HC. Not every 33 year old is Sean McVey.

1) Jimmy Johnson and Sean Peyton

2) Wade Philips and Jason Garrett

3) Mike McCarthy and Kellen Moore

Let’s never discuss Garrett again and how he wasted 10 years of talented teams and my Sundays.

Kellen has been great but he is also in a very favorable situation. If he wants to bail let him. He can be replaced. Let him go to the Jets and we will see what kind of genius he really is.

Try to keep them both as long as you can?

Parcells and Payton
Phillips and Garrett
