Good one!Or Groundhog Day
Good one!Or Groundhog Day
We had an up and coming young OC and an older very experienced HC.
Jerry let the young OC go and he became a fixture at his new team for many years and won a SB.
Fast forward a few years:
Same scenario. Only this time the older HC was let go.
The highly sought after OC got the HC gig and did very little in the ten years he coached before departing.
We are seeing Jerry facing this same scenario for a third time.
Which experience is gonna flavor his decision?
Bonus points to the Zoner who can put the names with my 2 examples.
Who cares about ticky tacky fines? Lol!!!
Sean Payton is still one of the best.Sean Payton who has done nothing since that SB, with one of the best QB”s ever.
Fans need to get over that.
Clapper of course was the other guy, and a wasted 10 years.
Actually wasted 7 years as he should have been let go after those three 8-8 seasons.
He's done his best...Unfortunately his best sucks.Done his best how? By refusing to watch film of potential draftees?

You need to step back and stop assigning thoughts and words to people they do not have. Your post is actually nonsensical as those are not my arguments. Your narrative is the trash one. BTW, there was no reason to stoop to insults. That is even more trashy. He's in charge, that means it's ultimately on his shoulders. You can't give him all the blame and none of the credit. Pick one, is he accountable or not? He absolutely wants to win. He hasn't fired himself because he doesn't believe there is anyone that can do it better. Stop with the trash narrative he doesn't care, it's just stupid.
He wasted a decade with an inept HC.
Jerry has been one of this team’s problems to overcome. He hasn’t done everything wrong, but he’s never been willing to understand how he can get credit for hiring good people and letting them do their jobs.
If we end up with a deep playoff run this year, Jerry will get and deserve some credit. But the guy has been a huge anchor on this team’s back for decades. He’s a genius at making money. But as a GM, he’s basically a football fan with GM authority. Who has had chance after chance after chance that all other GMs in the league never get.
Jerry’s like the rich guy at the Vegas craps table who is so rich, he will never run out of rolls of the dice. After 26 dice rolls, we have to hope he finally rolls boxcars.

No trick question, just curious what the zone thinks Jerry will do?Is this a trick question?
Obviously:
- Sean Payton and Parcells.
- Wade Phillips and Garrett.
What if Jerry had offered Sean Payton double the salary the Saints paid him to be Head Coach?
- Payton continued to live in Dallas in the off-season even after he took the Saints job.
- Would he have waited until Parcells contract was up?
Jerry once paid OL coach Hudson Houck more than some NFL Head Coaches were making at the time.
If I recall correctly, Jerry was paying Houck 2M or 3M per back in the late nineties or early 2000s.
I think for at least 1 season Houck was the highest paid assistant coach in the NFL including all Offensive and Defensive Coordinators.
What did Payton do in Dallas to warrant him being considered the heir apparent to Parcells? He did not have as much light shining on him as Moore does this season. Is this a trick question?

Wait, what? Are we not talking about Garrett here? You are correct sir, I just checked Google.
I guess it felt like 10 years.
