I'll go with Carpenter winning DROY. I'm hoping that it will be Dallas winning the SB.

I'll say Julius Jones winning NFL rushing title. Remember, he had 819 yards in only 8 games his rookie year and 993 yards in only 13 games, many of those while slightly injured.

IF he can stay healthy, and with the presence of TO, I can see him leading the league in rushing.

hmmm.. interesting initial results.. a little surprised, especially with Carpenter competing with the likes of Williams, Huff, Hawk, Ngata, Bunkley, Greenway, Wimbley, Lawson, Allen, Sims, and so on..

I picked Carpenter because I think linebackers can make the transition to the NFL faster than most other positions. He obviously has the skills and instincts to make an immediate impact. He'll be helped by the fact that he's on a good defense. With Ware on the other side he may get some easy shots at the quarterback.

Definitley some stiff competition, but none of those other rookies are coming into a defense quite like the Cowboys. I think the edge goes to Carpenter IMO for D rookie of the year.

If Carpenter even remotely plays at a decent level and the Cowboys D performs up to expectations, Carpenter will reap the benefits of being on a high profile high performing defense.

I voted for Roy, but I don't see anything on that list happening...they all seem too far fetched.

I was almost tempted to say we'd win the SB before any of those guys would make the enormous strides it would take to win those awards.

NOt being negative, but I don't see any of those happening.

I don't think it is too much of a stretch to believe that Carpenter will be in the mix for DROY honors. Opposing offenses will have to contend with Ware, Williams, Newman, Canty, Ellis, and Spears. Most of the remaining top rookies on defense were drafted by teams that aren't very good.

Only goal I have for the Cowboys this coming season is winning the NFC East and making it to the NFC Championship game. If this team could do that I would be more than happy.

I wished I could say that, but I can not. I know me too well. If the Cowboys actually win their Division and make the NFC Championship game I will be expecting nothing less than a 6th Lombardi. :starspin
