Which Player has a lot to prove in 2024?

Whoever is the QB. Lets be honest, its most likely Dak.

Most will be thrilled, guaranteed no playoff victories. However, you need a good qb and a great team, or a great qb and a team that knows what ites doing. Dallas has neither. Not this season.

Everything else falls without a QB that knows ,and the team knows, he cant get you over that hump.

Well everyone knows GM Jethro can't get over the hump. That is why he is comfortable hanging out at the rim.

-It could be a player who signed a new deal
-High Expectations from a certain rookie
-A player coming off an injury
-A veteran on the last year of his current contract
-Aging Vet who still wants to show the league he can play

I didn't want to do all the work for you (goodness knows I do a lot around here  ;)), pick a player that has a lot to prove and why!
Parsons needs to prove he’s a team player

Our defense was not even close to being balanced. It was a 1 dimensional mirage.
It was a heck of a lot better than Mike Nolan‘s defense. We were ranked 5th overall in defense last season. We’ve forced a lot of turnovers under Quinn and a fifth round pick became a pick-six machine. The problem with the defense has been in big games and in the playoffs.

It has nothing to do with big games. It has to do with playing good teams. Good teams are balanced. Our D was lopsided. Just like our offense is lopsided.

Our GM believes the run game no longer existent in the NFL.

The way our D dominates is the same way good teams dominate our offense.

Our D dominates when the other team is 1 dimensional.

If you double Micah and double CD our team sucks.

Big games are against good teams. If the GM believed the run game is no longer existent in the NFL, DeMarco Murray would’ve never put up 1800 yards and we would’ve never used a top 5 pick on Zeke who also led the league in rushing his rookie year.

Dak Prescott. He is getting one more chance to prove he is the real deal which means a franchise type, championship caliber QB.

Parsons gets a pass this season based on what he has done previously. He has done enough to prove he is a top 10 or better defender and he is young.

Mazi, Schoonmaker and Steele. The Michigan guys have to avoid the bust label. They REALLY need to improve big time. Steele got a pass last yr coming off a major injury but he needs to take a giant step forward this year

This season could be it for Mazi. If he doesn’t show significant improvement he could be gone after only two seasons like Taco. So far he’s been one of the worst first round picks I can remember.
It's pretty easy to see he is a bust already unless there is a complete unbelievable turnaround. Showed little to no flashes as a rookie, training camp this year by most accounts has not sounded great or just mehh. The team also panic-signed several guys to supplement him. That tells me they are not really confident in him. Not looking good.

Dak wants to be the top QB and Micah wants an all time great .. so yes they have a lot to prove in the playoffs.
They both seem very content with their regular season accomplishments. It's obvious that both believe they deserve top market $. Like they've won 3 Super Bowls already... Are any Cowboys players likeable at this point??
