Remind me again who the posters were that were rooting for us to win the last few meaningless games of the year? Thus pushing us back from the 4th pick to the 8th?

How many of those did we win, one at Washington? Even if we lost that we'd be tied with Cleveland and it's possible still only been drafting 3rd. Even at 2 we might have missed out in the QB we wanted.

Yep, thats why it was great we kept losing.

I think the QB's go 1-2, though neither deserves it....it's just the supply and demand.
San Diego takes Tunsil....rivers was sacked 40 times last season, and this will extend his career and improve their run game.

Dallas has its pick of Ramsey and Bosa....I don't think it's that easy a choice. Both are big needs and both are going to be very successful in the NFL.

I love Ramsey, but frankly, even though he's better than Jones, it's not like comparing Woodson and Church.

I'd draft Bosa or I'd trade down and draft Shaq Lawson....then I go CB at #34, DT and QB in round 3 (from the trade); RB in round 4, then fill out the roster the rest of the way.

Problem is, I think both the Browns and the Chargers would be crazy to pass on him.

I completely agree, but the Browns are the Browns for a reason, who knows what they're thinking, and IMO San Diego would be crazy to pass on a top left tackle(tunsil) to protect Rivers over as a lot of people see Ramsey as, a safety in the pros

The Browns still have the best left tackle in football, and the Chargers just signed two tackles.

Joe Thomas is rumored to be on the trading block because Cleveland believes his best years will be behind him before they compete for a championship (or are even competitive). If that is the case, it will not prevent Cleveland from taking the best player on the board, including Tunsil if the grade on him is superior to the others.

The fact that there are several potential first round OTs with potential first round grades (and maybe not much dropoff in grades between them) might drive down the price of an OT in this draft a little. On the other hand, the fact that several teams need an OT may keep the price high as is the usual case.

Definitely what I see. I expect a big storyline if this draft to be 'when will the Browns draft'? Because I expect them to move down several times in an effort to stockpile as many picks as they can get their hands on. Those Moneyball guys they hired will be all about the draft capital.

Realistically, it really makes sense for the Browns to stockpile picks and go pure BPA. It helps them accumulate the best talent, more of it and maximizes their draft position. Moreover if they aren't trying to win now, they can develop that talent, and lose, while still having high picks next year. They might decide to next year do the same thing.

In the 3rd draft you would expect them to target more elite players and go quality over quantity and target specific players by moving around in the draft. Right now they need numbers of very good to good players. If the best player on their board is a punter or a kicker in the 5th, so be it. They need help everywhere.

That's who I had pegged for them all along....but Tunsil might prove to be too good to pass up on.

This rams Thing really changes stuff.

Just think if you are Tunsil and his agent thinking they had the first pick wrapped up and now are wondering how far you will fall.

My guess is no lower than 5th or 6th.

I don't know, but count me as one hoping we would lose every game after we had no realistic chance at the playoffs.

I think before the Rams made the trade the answer would have been Zeke.

Now that the rams made the trade and Tunsil is no longer the given as the #1 overall player that would be drafted...I will say Tunsil.

Problem is, I think both the Browns and the Chargers would be crazy to pass on him.

No one is trading that far up for a rb.

count me in as well.

I've never understood why fans wouldn't want as high of a pick as possible since it increases your chance of winning the SB in later years. You root for the losses in the same way that you want a QB to throw it away instead of taking a well earned sack from another team..... it gives you a competitive advantage.

They really do, and the fact that they're sitting on a bunch of cap space and not signing any marquee free agents (in fact, they're letting some quality veterans walk), tells me that they looking to stock their team through the draft. And rather than high picks, I think they want numbers of picks.

I never have either. When the season is as wasted and done like it was last year, it makes complete sense to want your team to get as high as pick possible as compared to some meaningless win. Some have said they could never root for the team to lose. I have no problems doing that. What would be the point of watching Matt Cassell squeak by with a last minute win to drop us from the 4th pick to the 8th pick? Any sensible fan would see the long term goal over the 2 hour good feeling you might have watching your team win a meaningless game.
