They really do, and the fact that they're sitting on a bunch of cap space and not signing any marquee free agents (in fact, they're letting some quality veterans walk), tells me that they looking to stock their team through the draft. And rather than high picks, I think they want numbers of picks.

Possibly......or the new regime could be inclined to finally solve their QB problem. With signing RG3 and drafting a guy #2 they might be figuring that would solve it.

Although if someone dropped the load that the Rams did on Tennessee, I would take it and run.

Yes all signs point to that, and it is the smart move for them to make.

What makes you so certain Goff is going before Wentz?

I just am. If Goff doesn't go #1, I will never, ever claim that I know anything about football (or any other subject) ever again. It just is what it is, as sure as the sun rising in the morning.

Great so convince me. Im not a big college guy so I wouldnt know. Why is he better than Wentz?

Zippier passes. Goff is one of the great natural throwers, in the mold of a Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers. Wentz is a big guy who can throw the ball pretty well. Goff is just more physically composed, much more coordinated, more fundamentally sound. Goff is 6'4", but plays like a guy who is much smaller from a coordination standpoint. Wentz is a 6'7" guy who looks like a 6'7" guy playing QB, more wasted movement, gangly, inefficient.

Wentz will make two really nice throws and spray the third one. Goff will throw nearly every pass on a dime.

Oh, and I don't watch much college football either. I just know great throwers when I see them.

From what I have read that sounds about right.

But what people like about Wentz is his athletic and running ability. But most important is the type of guy he is mentally and with leadership. I did see an interview with Goff and I was not impressed with him as a leader type. But then again, Im not big into the college thing and I am going off of limited knowledge of each player.

Up until the Senior bowl, Goff was widely considered the best guy by a long shot.

These are all extremely important factors but ones I really can't speak to because I don't know either player. Wentz may very well be a great natural leader and tough as nails. I'm just speaking to pure throwing talent and I'm convinced the Rams are drooling over Goff's. They should be.

Oh, and I think Goff is more mobile too. Not as fast in a straight line, but again, more physically composed. He'll be able to evade pressure better than Wentz.

I did hear that about Goff and Wentz. That Goff is better in the pocket.

Pray Tunsil is there @ #4, he's a bookend OT you can clean the clock with his Trade value over anyone else. ..just don't make the mistake of letting an NFC East opponent have him.

I'm compiling this now so that it will be easier to get a head count for the front table:

quote="mcompact, post: 6634904, member: 26341"]I don't agree. I think the earliest that Goff goes is at #4 to us or #7 to SF.[/quote]

I disagree.

Goff is going #1 or #2. It's just a matter of what team ultimately takes him.

try the Rams

I kinda hope the Rams take Wentz, which leaves Goff to us in play.
No need for hope, because the Rams are taking Wentz. Where Goff goes after that is the debate. We are in a great position to be in play for him at #2, but the gun will be decocked and re-holstered without firing a shot.
It will be you. Goff is going #1, guaranteed. I can't believe some are still struggling with this.
"I" like Goff better and he should be the #1 QB off the board, but there are scouts and GMs that are flat out convinced that Wentz is Luck 2.0. That's what is driving my predition.

This will be me on April 28th.

P.S., I hope you guys know this is all fun and games.

When was the last time Dallas traded out of a Top 5 pick? Trading into Top 5 usually pays off way more than trading out mainly because Top 5 picks are 10 year franchise type players.
