I think tc had a decent season in his 1st as a dt.However i dont think he set the world alight and definately wasnt the force we hoped he would be in the playoffs.
That being said could he bulk up 10lbs and man the 1 tech position if we were to say come up with an amicable agreement with melton for next season or draft a 3tech like mike bennett?
Or could he drop 5-10lbs and move back out to lde?
I no he has switched around a fair bit in his short career so maybe a full offseason working as a 3tech would be the right thing to do?Im just looking at some scenarios whch might affect how we aroach the offseason and the draft

DECENT?

Cowboys dont win 10 game without him. He shouldve been an all pro.

i wouldnt go that far,but like i said maybe a full offseason of working at the position and an influx of talent either side of him might just enable to take that net step from good to great

He is fine at DT. Just need to add 2 more Pro Bowl caliber DL and let them play in a rotation. And make sure you have your 4 best on the field....fresh... for the last half of the 4th quarters.

People are hilarious - He was a dominant force all year long and has one non productive game against Green Bay and people want to move him. He isn't a top 3 DT, but he is definitely in the top 10. If you put a couple other players on this defense he will be a monster.

Hold up.

He had a nice season. 33 Tackles, 3 Sacks, 1 Forced fumbles -- and his numbers really didn't show how disruptive he was.

Having said that, I don't think he was anywhere near All-Pro. He certainly had zero impact in the Packers game (0 sacks, 0 solo tackles, and 0 assists) going against a really fine set of interior offensive lineman.

I am willing to meet you in the middle and call is a really good season, surprisingly, good, and a very promising restart to his career.

While Mr 76 yards in 2 playoff games must be resigned at any cost!

I've seen people rip darn near everybodies performance in this loss, but havent seen hardly any negatives words about Mr. 38 yards per playoff game. Wonder why?

Yeah I have no idea why this thread was even started and worse yet why I felt compelled to post in it. Crawford is your starting 3-tech barring injury. He'll be a force with some help.

Now i dont know how educated you are on the english language but do you notice the gammar? They are what is called a question mark.It mens a question is beng asked not a statement is being made. Now given that crawford has been moved around a fair bit i was asking the question as to whether he has found his niche or whether the coaches might think about moving him back to end or if they thought and any1 on here had any ideas as to whether he could the 1 tech with success depending on how we address free agency and the draft.
Now say for example mike bennett is there highest ranked player on there board when they are on the clock-do they look to other prospects and draft for need or have they already spoken about the idea of taking bennett who is a 3tech and maybe moving crawford to 1tech or end?

3 Tech is THE premium position in a Cover 2 4-3. Im not interested in turning a good intirior pressure player into a mediocre LDE who doesnt have the ability to beat OTs off the edge.

1 Tech, maybe but even at a bigger size wont hold up against the run VS doubles. He is a gap shoot. You can line him up at 1 Tech on obvious passing downs but thats it

thankyou for actually reading what was wrtten and understanding is was a question and not a statement. And thankyou for your thoughts on it,i appreciate here peoples takes on whether the coaches have fiannly settled on a position for crawford.I personally agree with you write up that with some extra help either side of him crawford should turn out to be a stud for us for the next few years and a lynch pin of the defence
but at the same time i also like to get opinions on things aswell like the initial start of the thread

DT is a tough position for even a hardcore fan like myself to assess. It's not driven by statistics, and you can have a great game without ever having your name called.

The people who break the game down every week say he's been a force. I'll take their word for it.

Overrated on here but I thought he had a solid season. He's certainly someone the team can go forward with.

Put him next to a Suh and he'll make alot of plays.

On his own he's good, but probably never be a take over a game guy. With someone else getting alot of attention next team, he can exploit that
