Some areas that have not addressed in fa could point to their road map of what they want to accomplish in the draft:

WR-did try to sign Kupp, but lost Cooks and only signed Campbell. They brought in 3 1st rd targets as 30 visits.

NT/1T-there is zero chance they go into next season with only Mazi Smith and a bunch of ps prospects.

RB-anyone think their two signings will even make their final roster? They have been connected to all the top backs and even backs later on.

Slot corner-this is where it gets interesting. Did make a trade for a depth, outside corner in Elam, but just reported Diggs won’t be ready at the start of next season. The Texas safety is a former nickel corner, they have shown interest in other outside corners, will they consider moving Bland back to slot?

4 first round targets, Golden is coming in Thursday. To be honest I think they way the treated free agency. The Cowboys need a running back, wide receiver, and cornerback on the same level. It just depends on who they like. I liked that they got Fowler, Milton, and the two linebackers but the rest remain to be seen. I think they draft a big cornerback and move Bland back inside as long as Diggs makes it back.

if you just look at positions...ot is the one they did not address.

qb,rb,wr,og,de,dt,lb,cb and s were all checked via sign(either one of our own or outside the bldg) or trade.

We have to keep in mind it's very possible we could be w/o BOTH of our starting CBs this time next season. Diggs may be released and Bland is a free agent we may can't afford. So I'm expecting them to give CB strong consideration within the first 3 rounds.
I'm still not convinced LBer or RG(OT) aren't top priorities for our 1st round ( maybe not at 12 but a tradedown).

I mean…what position have they addressed to the extent it would keep us from drafting a player early? I’d take pretty much anything in the first 3 rounds at this point.

Corner is a major need just with Diggs not being ready to start the season, add in the loss of Lewis and Bland on his last yr of his contract makes it a priority need to address.

They could "hold up" at certain spots, but when you look at WR, NT, CB they cannot compete.

I think Dallas feels they've addressed the defensive line. It's stupid, but in their eyes they've committed a 1st round draft pick in a NT Mazi (who they haven't and we shouldn't give up on yet), resigned a 3T in Osa, are working on resigning a DE Mica, and have hope in both Kneeland and Sam Williams. Along with that the additions of Fowler, Turner, and Thomas. That should do nothing to sway them but I think it will. It's sad but I think Dallas will sit out the strongest defensive lineman draft in ages.

I think in their minds (and they are correct) they have to get Dakota some help. He's got nothing. A couple of tight ends that can't uncover, 1 WR, zero running backs, and a very suspect offensive line if front of him. I fully expect this draft to go RB, WR, and CB in some combo as the first 3 picks.

It is just so depressing they did not address 2 of these positions and upgrade the roster from last year. For instance, DT and RB. Just grab two average to above average guys and not to be forced to grab a guy if someone else on your board was higher.

I know there are still players out there but for once I wanted to see this team be proactive. Heck, I thought no way they would head to camp with just Mazi at DT or leave the draft with Zeek and Dowdle as your two running backs. But here we are.

30 visits suggest they are definitely taking a high WR/RB where DE/OL are next. We have yet to see many corners come in.

CB, WR, DT, and RB are the biggest concerns for me

It would be nice to upgrade DE and add some competition to OT as well

They only addressed LB by signing Sanborn. Everybody else is a JAG at this point.

regardless...nothing they did this off-season should eliminate a position group from their board.
i'd still draft a qb even with acquiring milton.
williams and sanders should not remove a rb from the draft card.
