Butler is back and I don’t think they brought him back to sit. So who is active this week?

Also, who got cut to make roster space? I missed it.

Tyree Robinson was cut, if memory serves me. I'd say they'll dress the same WR's as last game and keep Butler inactive for the time being.

Yes it was Robinson the safety - you’re correct.

6 receivers seems a stretch but now we have 7. Something most likely has to change.

I think Butler will be inactive also. He didn't sign until what, Tuesday? Still enough time for him to practice and get in the game plan.
But all the other WR's know the "new" Dak friendly style of offense we now have........so most likely Butler needs another week either way.
Then next week, which ever WR does not do as well this week, will be inactive.

Twill has been a ghost so far. Wonder if he and Dak had a falling out?

I cain't wait to see Thompson and Butler on the outside with Austin in the slot. Let's see the defense stack the box then.

Williams always disappears for long stretches. Butler will likely need time to learn our "new and dynamic offense". So yeah, probably the same you saw last week.

Agree, but will our Mr. Honors grad know how to make adjustments to make this happen.

It doesn't take knowing how to make an adjustment to tell three players to go in the game. In any case, those 3 wont be on the field often together. Beasley and Gallup will still get plenty of snaps, and Hurns will see time too.

Butler will likely be inactive for the 1st week or 2 to ease back into the offense. Honestly wouldn’t surprise me if Butler was brought in as a insurance option to Thompson either. Very possible Thompson isn’t on the roster by week 10

T Will has been primarily working as a blocker - he's got the role we used to play Dwayne Harris in

Thompson was the starter in the first two games. He's played about 45% of the snaps and has a role on some of the ST units.

Williams has been getting far fewer snaps and doesn't play ST.

I expect we are simply waiting for Williams to be suspended so we can cut him and save the cap $

Agree but it will snow Sunday before those 3 are on the field together.

We don’t get a 4th round comp pick if we cut TWill...we do if we cut Thompson.

I get that Thompson has been involved so far, but he’s very replaceable and on a 1 year deal they already cut him from once. Taking the pick over Thompson is a long term business decision. Losing Thompson isn’t going to be the difference in this being a successful season or not.

Since Butler just signed he may not suit up at all this Sunday, but in any case, it doesn't bother me if those three don't get on the field together anyway. Being fast isn't the only criteria for a good receiver. Crisp routes and good hands are more important. Not saying those guys can't run good routes or that they don't have good hands, just that there is more to consider than speed.

Agree

Irvin, harper, hayes, richards at wide and novecek will play TE
