Just a thought here post Super Bowl. You have the magical ability to choose the course of events. Given this choice on how to end the season, which option would you choose?

A) Losing like we did with a horrible replay official making that game changing call.

B) Making it to the Super Bowl but losing exactly the way the Seahawks lost. With a decision by Garrett/Linehan to throw it on 2nd down from the 1 and having Romo throw the interception.

As much as the robbery that was the GB game is something that will hurt for a long time, I think watching what happened to Wilson and the Seahawks would have been worse if it happened to us. Think of the aftermath if Romo threw that pick in that moment. The nay-sayers would have a year long party.

I would pick option two. Losing because of your own mistakes is one thing. Losing because a certain official sees something a certain way is just wrong.

Even if the Dez catch WAS incomplete, I still don't see 100 percent irrefutable evidence to overturn the original call of complete.

Since I figured a 7-9 season I wasn't happy with the way we went out put I was happy we were still there.
I never want to lose a SB let alone like the Hawks did. Romo would be run out of the NFL if that was him.

You should have added a third option:

Losing the way we should have had the Dez catch stood with Rodgers picking apart our defense with 4 minutes remaining and only needing a field goal to tie.

The Dez catch made people forget that we were going to lose anyway. We were the better team but we allowed the game to be close like we did all season. And we were getting eaten up by Rodgers all day.

I want to go as far as we can. Yes, losing the SB would be EXTREMELY painful. But it also give this young team confidence and experience it really needs.
It leaves a bad taste and provide more incentive to get there again and KNOW to RUN the rock!

C) Stabbing my hand with an ice pick for a half hour.

I choose events the way they are. Yes the way the loss to GB went down was painful but after 3 weeks and then watching the Seahawks lose the way they did just made me feel a whole lot better. Cowboys will be favored next season... can't wait.

My choice would be we win the SB, because if we were there, Romo would have made that throw, or, that play would not have been called.
It would been a run to Murray, or a fade to Dez.

I don't like losing at all, but I do like going to the Super Bowl. So I guess I'd rather lose in the Super Bowl. If you can make it there, you know how to go back. Doesn't mean you will, but you know how to.

A every time, Seattle won last year so that at least takes some of the sting away. Romo throws that pick to give away the game. I can't even imagine the field day people would have dragging him over the coals. Which is funny because Wilson sure seems to be coming through this untarnished

I think most people would want to get to the Super Bowl; however, I wouldn't want to hear whiny fans if Garrett/Romo had screwed something up. I much prefer to hear them basing the refs.

No way would I take a sb loss. Especially like that. Id rather get blown out. Id rather not make the playoffs then lose the sb too.

I could handle a SB loss but only under 2 conditions 1. We caught some breaks and all felt "lucky" to get that far
2. No blowouts but lose to a clearly superior team that we couldn't ever keep up with during the game (like the 07 loss to the Patriots)
As stated, never ever no way no how wanna lose like Seattle did *** that!

Our loss wasn't painful at all. I was pretty content. The way Seattle and Green Bay lost was way worse.

The refs took the game away from us and gave it to Green Bay on a silver platter.

While Green Bay and Seattle folded in the waning moments and gave the game away.

Maybe its a type of punishment inflicted by the football Gods on the NFC. The NFL should not have influenced the destiny of a team in any way.
