Which scenario would you rather?

The Cowboys defence stepped up vs the Lions on their last drive. Stafford fumbled twice. Who's to say what would have happened. Aaron Rodgers isn't some great come back QB people think he is.

I want to go as far as we can. Yes, losing the SB would be EXTREMELY painful. But it also give this young team confidence and experience it really needs.
It leaves a bad taste and provide more incentive to get there again and KNOW to RUN the rock!

Just a thought here post Super Bowl. You have the magical ability to choose the course of events. Given this choice on how to end the season, which option would you choose?

A) Losing like we did with a horrible replay official making that game changing call.

B) Making it to the Super Bowl but losing exactly the way the Seahawks lost. With a decision by Garrett/Linehan to throw it on 2nd down from the 1 and having Romo throw the interception.

As much as the robbery that was the GB game is something that will hurt for a long time, I think watching what happened to Wilson and the Seahawks would have been worse if it happened to us. Think of the aftermath if Romo threw that pick in that moment. The nay-sayers would have a year long party.

I would far, far, rather lose it on a refereeing blunder. It shifts the blame away from the Cowboys on to something external instead.

I don't know of a good way to lose but if I were to lose I would rather be in the SB than not being in the SB. Dallas has lost some heart breakers in the SB going 8 times and winning 5, but those losses stung but I still like being only 1 of 2 teams standing than not.

I'd rather lose like we did in GB. Nothing is as heart-breaking as losing the SB. It's more painful than losing the World Series and even the Stanley Cup.

The NFCCG losses in 81 and 94 to SF were painful, but not as painful as losing SB XIII to Pitt.

And unfairly as it is - in large part due to the many SB blowouts over the years - the SB loser is often looked upon as a loser (consider the jokes the Vikings, Broncos (before Terrell Davis) and Bills have endured over the years) instead of a conference champion that won two or three playoff games to get to the SB.

a missed onside kick. when does that ever happen?

you got "The Best" with 4 downs....... smart move!!!

My choice would be we win the SB, because if we were there, Romo would have made that throw, or, that play would not have been called.
It would been a run to Murray, or a fade to Dez.

This and I would have been OK with a fade to Dez in that situation.

I would rather we lose the way we did than lose exactly like Seahawks lost. I would be forever sick about a loss like that in the Superbowl. That would be absolutely disgusting.

Some will get this....

I guess it would be too much to ask that this not become another thread about how the refs screwed us.

I agree. Obviously we'd all rather win the SB. But the exact way the last three offensive plays turned out for Seattle (the ridiculous catch, the run by Lynch and the INT) was such a roller coaster, I just think that the backlash and I-told-you-so's would have been absolutely unbearable if it were the Cowboys in that position. From the ripping of Garrett to the Romo chokes story lines, it would have been a never ending bash fest for months and months. I hated and felt sick about the way the "catch that was called not a catch" went down, but after a few weeks have passed, even the strongest Cowboy haters have admitted it was wrong. I'd much rather have the headlines next year be about this (which it will be come August), than what would have been with the Seahawks scenario.

I'd rather go down fighting than have the mob cheat me out of a win...
