Which teams in Cowboys history have owned us at times?

The continual failure to beat San Fran regular season or playoffs is soul piercing for any longtime fan, made worse by the last defeat that was nothing less than a body slam on the entire roster. But putting it into perspective, there have been far better teams in Cowboys history that were still owned by other teams.

First two that come to mind are the 70's Dynasty and 90's dynasty, which were much better teams.

The 90's dynasty was ALSO owned by San Francisco in the mid-90s. Yes, we beat them in 92-93 NFC Championship, but 94 on they owned us and as others have pointed out, they would have stopped the third Lombardi for that dynasty if Green Bay hadn't knocked San Fran off in the Playoffs.

The 70's dynasty could never get past the Pittsburgh Steelers dynasty, even with one of the greatest QBs in NFL History, Roger Staubach. Otherwise, they would have been the 'Team of the 70's.'

60's teams had Green Bay.

We have fans here that go all the way back to the Eddie LeBaron days. Just curious which teams you remember owning us for a few years, regular season and postseason? Those teams the franchise never could shake?

I’d rather think about the teams that we own

The nacar Giants seemed to whoop on us a lot, although it may just be the losses we're particularly painful.

I dont remember having much luck with the Randy Moss Vikings either.

Have we ever beaten the Ravens? Seems like at one point they announced they were the only team in the NFL that the Cowboys have never beaten. Is this still true?

Every team owned us during the Dave Campo 5-11 trifecta years, 2000-02. Philly especially.
LOL, Yeah, pretty bad years from Switzer's Last days to Gailey to Campo.

Ones I remember the most though....

- Vikings. Randy Moss, nuff said.
- Eagles. McNabb, Staley, et al were annoying, but it's the defense that brutalized us and helped end Aikman's career early.

I would say NASCAR Giants for a short period, mostly Playoffs, but don't remember the regular season record.

Not sure how a team who was 1-2 against us in the NFC championship game owned us. They took advantage of a slew of errors to start the game in 1994 and hung on the rest of the way.

Dallas stood in their way and stopped their 80s dynasty from spilling over into the 90s when Young took over. That isn't owning us by any means.

Also, you can't make up a result for a game that never happened to try and strengthen your argument for this. SF didn't make the 1995 NFC championship because they lost to the team we in fact owned in the 90s, the Packers. No one has any idea how that game plays out if SF beat GB. Both Dallas and SF were on their way down by that year and GB was on their way up.

Arizona has had our number this century it seems...

I can't ever remember a time when I've been a fan and we've beat Denver.

Brady and New England had our number every single time.

And obviously San Francisco these past two seasons...

Yeah, was thinking about Cardinals too. Not sure what the record is the last 20 years? Started with the Jake the Snake Playoff game and been rough many years since then. But don't know the overall record of losses.

Not sure on the Ravens. I'm sure there is some AFC Team that we don't play much that is undefeated. Since we never make it to the Super Bowl anymore, haven't thought about it as much. I put Steelers there because those were some crushing losses the 70's Team could never get over.

Maybe had to be there? My memory is that was the team to fear 94 and on. Never felt that way about Green Bay, Denver or the other NFC East teams during that period.

It was how much crap those Giants talked. We never said nothing back and instead just got beat down. Drove me crazy.

For the 70s Steelers -- not quite. The Cowboys did beat them in '72 with Craig Morton at quarterback. (Staubach was hurt.)

We had beaten them three times in a row including two staright NFC championship games. There's no "owning" going on when you do that.

Also, you can't know for certain if they would have beaten us in 1995's NFCCG. You can predict that, but you still have to play the game.

Nobody "owned" the 92-95 Cowboys.
