Which two do you take?

Yeah. what happened to Ocho Cinco and TJ Houshmanzadeh? Chad Johnson might not be having the same year he had last year, but you definitely can not keep them out of the top 5 or 6.

If so, he managed to get the #1 and #2 recievers wrong in a list of best WR duos. Impressive. :p:

Pretty good list, actually. I'd take out Lloyd and put in Randle El in his place, though. In doing that, I'd rather have Moss/Randle El than Plax and Toomer anyday. But that's just me. Plax drops a ton of passes.

Wayne and Harrison are the best tandem right now, but I think Fitz and Boldin will turn out to be just as good or better. If I was building a franchise I'd want Boldin/Fitz since they are younger.

sorry dude. but Randel El or Brandon Lloyd haven't done anything to make them part of the top 7 receiving duos. Santana Moss by himself can not carry them.

Harrison and Wayne are definitely the best duo in the NFL, followed by:

  • Fitzgerald and Bolden
  • Owens and Glenn
  • Chad Johnson and T.J. H
  • Steve Smith and K. Johnson
  • Joe Horn and the rookie Marques Colston (They call him baby T.O.)
  • Plaxico and Toomer (although they are suspect to me)

Believe it or not, Isaac Bruce is still playing well. Torry Holt and him must be mentioned as I think Torry Holt is currently the best receiver in the league.

I'd take TO, but the thing that made Terry so dangerous was his connection with Bledsoe. The Bledsoe to Glenn connection was something we lost. Don't know how that's going to work now.

Currently I'd love Harrison and TO. But I think I'd take TO and Glenn because they're contrasting recievers with different talents.

Harrison and Wayne are almost the same size and speed. They're the same type of reciever.

If you have Marvin and Reggie, I think you have to have Peyton with them.

Who would you put ahead of them then, and why?

my list would look like:

1. Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne
2. Boldin, Fitzgerald
3. Chad Johnson and TJ Houshmanzadeh
4. TO and TG
5. Steve Smith, Keyshawn
6. Torry Holt, Isaac Bruce
7. Plax, Toomer
8. Joe Horn, Marques Colston
...

32. Santana Moss, Lloyd/ Randal-El

jk. They might round out top 15. Santana is great, but Lloyd sucks. There's a reason 49ers didn't want him. Sure, he'll make an incredible catch every once in a while, but that doesn't make up for his lazy route running and drops. As for Randle-el, just look at his career stats. He was never a dominant force at WR.

Yes, Chad (ocho-cinco or whatever) Johnson is who I meant
:banghead:

1. Owens and Glenn
2. Boldin and Fitzgerald
3. Harrison and Wayne
4. Johnson and Houshmandzadeh
5. Smith and Johnson

I'm not being a homer.. I like how TO and Glenn are completely different types of players.. You give them Manning and their numbers would be incredible..

Owens>Crayton

Incase you guys have missed our last 6 quarters with the dynamic that will make up this team for the remainder of our season, Crayton has been T-RO's #2 wr option and I don't think that's gonna change. Behind him Hurd. Before the two, our TE's.

TG's attitude is also not going to fit with T-RO. Give it a month and that will come blatently obvious. Not to mention TG is rather short and with T-RO battling the hieght thing also, it's just not a match made in heaven.

I don't think I've ever seen Glenn catch a pass on a deep slant and go into the end zone untouched. I've seen Wayne and Harrison do this numerous times. Maybe it's just the system.

I think the Quarterback play in Indianapolis also has something to do with their success too.

As far as pure talent, I think the Bengals have the best Wideouts, Houshmanzadeh, Henry, and Johnson.

I didnt see anyone mention the Rams receivers, Bruce is a little grey under the chin, but he is still a pretty good receiver, along with Holt.

How in the hell are none of you putting DJax & Dion Branch in your top 7 or 8 WRs tandems....DJax is like the 4th leading WR this year & Branch is money.

You folks are crazy.

Branch & Djax >>>>>>>>Moss & Lloyd

Indy's receivers will probably end up with the best numbers. All I can say is that when the playoffs come around I think it's good to have someone like TO on the field who isn't going to get pushed around. That's happened to Harrison a few times in the playoffs.

You are putting a rookie ahead of him, though. Doesn't make any sense. I know you guys hate the Commanders around here, and I certainly don't blame you, but Moss by himself is top 5 in the NFL. Colston is having a decent year, but Lloyd has had a couple of those in the NFL now. Randle El's versatility and Super Bowl ring vault him ahead of ANY rookie WR.

Plus, in discussions like this I'm assuming you take QB play out of the equation. You think Harrison/Wayne would be one of the best with Brunell @ QB?

I was just watching something on Reggie Wayne and it got me thinking. I happen to think Wayne is an exceptional WR. However, because I'm part homer and part cerebral, I see the combination of TO and TG as being superior to M Harrison and R Wayne. I'm interested in knowing what you all think. Let's forget about who might be throwing to them. If you had to choose between the combination of T.O. and TG or Harrison and Wayne which two do you go with. I forgot to mention your choice determines the survival of mankind. :p:

TO and Harrison.
