Which Wide Reciever Should We Go After?

Personally I dont think we need another WR, Maybe a sleeper in the draft. But if I had to name one from FA or Other teams, It would have to be Charles Rogers from the lions I think we would be able to get him fairly cheap. I know he has showen that he is injury prone and a bit of a goofball but I still think he has alot of upside its just that the detroit franchise is bringing him down. Im 93% sure that they will cut him or move him in the offseason so thats who I wouldnt mind adding hes still young and could take over and become a great WR.

Alot of yall have been talking about adding a WR in the offseason so I ask you guys who should we go after? and be realistic about it.

and while I'm on the subject of Kevin Curtis, think about it, you don't need to invest greatly, to get a good WR corp, look at the Pats the last few years

Curtis could be the replacement for Glenn when he moves on, burner speed to get deep and to seperate, all those WRs in St. LOu are taught really well how to seperate from defenders using their speed

and Crayton could take over KEy's spot, when he decides to move on

then get a quality 3rd WR in the later rounds

Yeah I Agree. I like Kevin Curtis as well he is a speed demon. He would be a nice pickup.

We do need another WR. In Skins game Glenn was doubled-teamed & essentially disappeared (also dropped 1-2 passes) & w/o another WR to take some heat off of him our passing game could do little. Keyshawn simply doesn't have the speed & can't get separation, Crayton hasn't returned to previous form & Witten is good TE but he doesn't get good yards after pickup which is kind of WR we need (like a Santana Moss). BTW: Skins game wasn't only time this year that Glenn was ineffective. Also he's been healthy this year but there no guarantees. Anyway, from your description of Ram's Kevin Curtis he sounds exactly what we need. Will pay lot of attention to him in next year's game but will he be a FA next year; assume he will be highly sought after. Still would like enough WR, perhaps in the draft. I do think Keyshawn (love his spirit) should be cut so Crayton gets a lot more play time. On other hand hate to see him go if there some way to keep him.

you can see Kevin Curtis in action New Year's Eve when we play them

and someone brought up a list of WRs expected to be RFAs and UFAs this upcoming offseason, and CUrtis was on the UFA list

and frankly, I dont think we need to cut anybody, Crayton doesn't make that much, and Curtis won't be THAT expensive, plus Glenn's contract is pretty cap-friendly

I can see Curtis and Glenn on the field at the same time, with Key and Witten as your slant guys - and with a dominating pass protecting OLINE we could be unstoppable.

I like the Charles Rogers idea alot. I have been thinking the same thing all season. But he was suspended this year for substance abuse so I dont know.

What type of speed does Rogers have?

At the combine a few years ago he ran a 4.3 so im guessing hes in between 4.3 and 4.4 which is pretty good. Plus he has some size to him. Getting him would be a big risk but it might be one worth taking.

I wouldn't mind either of the 2. I do like Rogers in that he has #1 receiver written all over him.

I was pretty impressed with the SF WRs - Brandon Lloyd and Arnaz Battle. Both restricted free agents though.

I'd rather go after Koren Robinson than Charles Rogers. I may be kidding myself, but Koren looks like he woke up similar to how Cris Carter woke up when Buddy Ryan cut him loose. Parcells' choke hold might keep him focused.

Something about taking Detroit Lions castoffs seems like a mistake.

They have Tom Brady, funny how you left out that part.

I really cant see the Rams letting Curtis get away. Bruce is at the end of his Carrer and they are going to need a # 2 receiver to go with Holt. I wouldnt be surprised if the Rams let Bruce and Faulk both go at the end of the season and resign Curtis.
