Wait all you want. I don't give a crap about them. I am a Cowboys fan.

Me too.... but I'm smart enough to realize that Dak isn't the only quarterback in the league on a max contract that has missed receivers before.

But you don't like that I brought up how the quarterbacks who make more than Dak has done the same thing.

It kills your narrative. It taints your agenda. I apologize.

Aaah, good point. Agreed. Hardly any timing plays.
and then there's the back shoulder fade. This isn't a Dak thing, this is a coaching thing. That play is dang near indefensible if done right. Ceedee should be getting hella yards of that play plus it's really not hard of a throw to make. I just don't understand why our offensive coaching doesn't try and take advantage of these things. Garrett? No. Boy Wonder? No. MM? No. I don't get it.

See the field. Go through your progressions. Look at the coverage. Who has outside leverage. Who has inside leverage. Don't stare down your receiver. Don't make up your mind pre-snap where your going to throw the ball.
Was there time to “go through progressions”? Determining which receiver across the field has inside or outside leverage requires time.

It didn’t look like it. The pressure was immediate on the right side.

So, if the play call is to throw to Schoonmaker, the QB should just ignore that, not even look at his primary option and instead look at the other side of the field?

if you want to complain about this, it’s McCarthy, and Schoonmaker, not Dak.
Are you saying all plays only have one read, really dude. You go with your best option every play, Dak did not choose wisely.

Huh? You give yourself far too much credit. I don't give a crap about any other QB's in the league. They don't play for the Cowboys.

Then that is the direction the ball should have went. Every QB knows there will be an unprotected area where the blitzer is coming from.

Because you and I have been NFL quarterbacks and offensive coordinators

Take it up with them.

Fans live in a slo-mo, 10 camera simulcast view, repeated over and over.

Players have 1.2 seconds

I find it odd that the first read was to the left. I don't blame him for making the throw: Schoonmaker is open and just has to get forward a few inches, you don't come off of that in hopes of something better. But why is that the first read and not the Lamb-Cooks side? Something to do with how the defense lined up?
With that pressure, could’ve never looked right, he knew that.

QBs don't have 4 sets of eyes that can maneuver in separate directions, plus, that play was specifically for Schoonmaker possibly, and with the defenders barrelling down on you, everything is split decision. Schoon, needed to get into the end zone, Ferguson needed to pick his guy, and the line needed to block better.
coaching, why call a important play like that to a rarely used rookie lol ??
how about running with dowdle or even better lipkey

This was happening on the other side.

wow easy td to 3 , dak usually goes with his first read, and the one eagle came in unblocked to force dak to throw to first read, but he could have seen that and rolled
out to right and had time to throw to wide open guy

Yeah.... so stop acting like Dak is the first quarterback in history with a max contract to make mistakes or miss open receivers.

Like I said.... Dak IS a 4th round draft pick who has outplayed many 1st and 2nd rounders at the same position. But you would never mention that would you....

Exactly.

Talk about a blown assignment on Martin. A brainfart by Martin. He let his dude run free at Dak? If he goes to Cook that ball is batted down easily. Dak made the right read. Shoonmaker had a TD but was tackled before the ball got to him. That should've been a flag. But don't let those facts interfere with y'all's agenda. :)

Just when I think the refs cannot get worse they do.
They were consistently bad from the first Kickoff to the final whistle. For all the attention to where Schoonover was down, he didn’t maintain possession of the ball all the way to the ground.

I’ll look at the All22 to see if the defender hit him early.
