White iPhone finally launches

Does color matter somehow? I honestly don't know. I still use a Sony Ericsson flip phone. I am not into all this crap.

I probably read this forum more from my phone than from a PC.

My first reaction was that it was ugly as well. White for a phone does not work.

Apple is like Taylormade in golf. They bring out 3-4 new drivers every year and they sell like hot cakes because they are described as new & hip, see R11, pretty much the same as the R9, except white.

Texting is not just a frivolous activity for teens and narcissists (not necessarily your portrayal, but a very popular one here in the Zone). It's a very handy asynchronous method of communication. It comes in particularity handy for my wife and I. She is an elementary school principal so she cannot drop everything and answer the phone when I need to contact her. I coach several of my son's teams and can't always be reached right away. It's an easy way to keep on top of everything and make sure we're on the same page. We recently got my mother in law started texting as well and she loves it as she is very involved with our kids and it's an easy way to let her know when plans change or if someone needs picked up, etc.

His loss definitely.

I can't even remember how many times I've used it when I needed to communicate with my wife, parents, sister, friends, co-workers and didn't want to or couldn't pick up the phone...or neither could they...to talk to them.

Plus I can text some questions and get the answers literally before I could dial the number and get an answer.

Not to mention pictures and video's I send or receive.

It's simply a great thing...period.

And that's just texting...which you can do on any phone...the things that you can do on a Smartphone are just incredible.

I was literally tracking my parents flight home from Florida yesterday on Continentals Flight Tracker as I was at work and then on my way to pick them up and then when I was at the Airport.

Then surfed CowboysZone at the airport while I waited for them to unboard.

I hate texting. I prefer to just use email. Smartphones have email, why in hell would you want to text!

The only time I text is if for some reason I don't have data service in the area I'm in. It's strictly as a backup for messaging. I usually use email or Gtalk IM.

A lot of people I know have sleeves for their iPhones and the sleeves come in a variety of colors. So what does it matter what color the phone is.

The white iPhone 4 is actually thicker than the black iPhone 4. So, be careful on the case you choose.
