I think those 9 are locks. That leaves 1 spot for those 2.

I'm curious which you prefer?

Myself I think White is soft and we could really use Woods depth as a FS. OTOH I know Broaddus and others like White. He can cover.

Try to keep both.

If you had to make the hard choice, keep Woods and pray you can get White on the PS and keep him.

Yeah, you traded a pick for Woods, so there's some investment there. White was a very late pick, he could squeak through to the practice squad unless he has some INTs in preseason. Teams had ample opportunity to draft him if they liked him coming out of college

You keep the best players on the team and White and Woods has outplayed Blanton. Not sure why some think White is soft since he stuck his head in multiple times to tackle against Arizona. I'm glad we finally have corners that try to tackle and White is one. Sure he needs to develop better but the effort for tackling is there

white all day long. He's proved he's a talent maybe with some work ahead. But got talent. Woods is undersized for safety, and I haven't seen jack from him yet.

Because I saw him back off tackles twice and run behind piles. He will engage when someone else engages first. I HATE that.

I'd choose Woods if picking between those two was unavoidable. I believe White is subject to being a bit reluctant versus the run. I have seen this being reported after certain plays in the preseason. With that being the case, it would seem apparent that Woods would at least be more valuable for ST duty. I hope he'll see significantly more action in the preseason game vs. the Rams. Players simply need to be used liberally to develop.

Progress stopper.

LOL.

I thought we might get through the entire camp without hearing that term!

Woods is a lock already and Blanton and Fraizer seem like the same player to me leaving one of them expendable

Good news is this isn't a test and we have some preseason football left to evaluate.

Still haven't seen why people are so high on woods since pre-draft? I haven't seen anything special during camp (unless something happened yesterday)...prefer White at this point

Frazier really hadn't done anything to be left completely out. He has just as much of a right to a roster spot as those two.

Kind of wish we would go through our growing pains and cut ties with Carroll. Not so much for his training camp reports but because we will likely lose a young guy because of it.

Regardless---there will be a hundred more White's/Woods/Fraziers next draft.

As it stands right now...I would say Woods is on the outside looking in. He's not standing out at all in camp and he hardly played in the preseason game---that's alarming.

IMO Blanton and Frazier aren't locks, just yet anyways.

I see it as a 4 way race for 3 spots.

Frazier has been lining up with the first team on every special teams unit throughout camp. Combine that with his nice tackle on third and short in the AZ game plus an INT of Dak a day or two ago. He's a lock.

The fourth safety spot comes down to Blanton or Woods. So in my eyes it's between Blanton/Woods/White. I go with the upside guys. Blanton will be out there on the street if you need him at a later date.
