Doesn't this mental midget understand this is beyond Vick and what he wants. PETA has their meathooks all over Vick and they will NEVER let him go. Any team that even whispers "Vick" will have PETA wrapped around it like bacon on a hotdog. Mike Vick has tied the hands that could've possibly fed him and second chances do not exist. I see no reason to discuss it at all, not yet anyway. A second chance is earned, not given.

Exactly right, CR... it might well turn out that even if Ookie does walk the straight and narrow, if he does all the right things or even goes above the call in trying to make amends, that no other team in the league will want to invest in him anyway...

I would do an indefinite ban, allowing him to file for reinstatement each year. Most definitely you deny it while he is in prison, and then just evaluate after that.

Now that Vick has admitted his guilt (assuming he has admitted to most or all of the charges against him), he should be banned from the NFL for life. Period. He tortured and killed dogs, gambled, violated a myriad of laws, and lied about it all to the league.

He can rehabilitate on his own dime, in his own way. And I'll believe Vick is ready for rehab when I see some real contrition, not a second sooner.
