Dak is so good he does not need a stinkin' QB coach.

Don't take this serious...I guess I need to put that in there, as some will...:muttley:

Personally I think Moore will do well in LA and Prescott will play a little better as well, proving that the real problem was the combo of the two, not necessarily either/or.

He will never earn what he is being paid, so debating that part of it is spinning wheels.

My take is the last few drafts have given them higher end performances on rookie deals out of a handful of guys, so it should offset, but the clock is ticking on that….and being in constant development mode is how you successfully waste rookie deals.

They truly operate as if they will get 4-5 legit starters in every draft and they will also be ready immediately.

It’s a nice approach in theory (although not very realistic) but was much more likely to work before free agency/cap.

Theres windows…small and short ones. These two want to try to operate as if that isn’t the case. Did he REALLY just say that he LIKES being in the middle?? Really?

No wonder Dalrymple took his NDA pile of cash and split….who would want to deal with senile Jerry as this gets even worse?

Has there been any official word on who will be QB coach? I know Tolzien was rumored. To me this position is way more important than OC
I would agree he can use someone in his ear pointing out what he should be looking for and doing, they need to pull in the reins and limit his decisions... honestly that's what I expected out of the "QB guru" head coach.

I’m wondering if they are waiting until the SB is over to pick some guys off those staffs

This has become really curious to me... announcing even assistant O-line coaches now, but no QB coach hire yet?

It'll all come out eventually, but one is left to think they've either been turned away a few times by now, or McC is holding out for someone to become available who just isn't yet available for whatever reason. Perhaps, it's someone who has reason to think he could be considered for an OC job on someone's staff, and just doesn't want to commit. Whoever it is, you have to think it's like the OC hire... it's gonna be someone McC has some previous experience working with, and who he trusts. When we learned that Nussmeier was gone, I was super confident Ben McAdoo would get the call, but maybe not.

I do agree with the OP, though. In a situation where your head coach is taking some of the major responsibilities of the OC role for himself, the person given the OC title is not any more important really than is the QB coach.

He has already earned it just from the lickin/kickin he takes on this site.

Someone's paying him good money and he isn't going to say no. Has he earned it....maybe not, but he is still getting it. It doesn't come out of my bank account so I'm not bothered by his salary. jmho

Too bad Wade Wilson passed away (well obviously too bad for many reasons). He seemed to be the one real teacher that Dak has had in that role and that is, IMO, exactly what is needed right now
