I want ZERO part of OG. Torrence and Avila aren't worthy at 26 imo.

I'd rather take Darnell Wright and shuffle him inside

Top 3 who I think may be available at 26? That's tough because no one knows who will be there. But I will give a list of 5 that might make it and would be great additions to our team.

D Wright: is probably the biggest stretch to make 26, but would be a fantastic addition to the O-line, LG for a year and then RT.
N Smith: probably doesn't make it to 26 either, but if he did I don't think we could pass on him.
J Addison: I think it's 50/50 he makes it to 26, but would give us a long term dynamic duo at WR
E Forbes: he may not make it either, his raw skill is crazy good, but he needs polished.
O Torrence: again, he may not make it to 26, but he's a 10 year starter at LG & next to Tyler that side of the line would be crazy.

Not.
Steve.
Avila.
They have already let us know this is the pick if you listen to Broaddus and the rest of the guys.

It’s likely a massive reach. But, we mostly all thought Tyler Smith and Travis Frederick were massive reaches as well.

This guy is someone I hadn't heard of until a few days ago. Has a little Tyler Smith nastiness and even reminds me a little of Larry Allen. He's raw but the power is undeniable.

I love Mafi. I have no idea where you’d have to take him, but I’m all for Dallas bringing him in to compete on the OL.

His attitude, strength and aggressiveness is exactly what Dallas has been wanting to get on their OL. With reports out there that Dallas likes Mafi, and with his profile, I won’t be surprised to see the Cowboys take him at some point. He clearly isn’t a first round player but he might go earlier than a lot of people think.

I hope they do manage to get him on the team.

There have been a couple of the youtube Cowboys channels suggesting the Cowboys would take him or Avila at 58.

Yeah, the people thinking he’s going to be there in the 4th or 5th round are way off base, IMO. It wouldn’t surprise me to see him come off the board in the 2nd.

I’d love for Dallas to get him in the 3rd… but that might be too late.

I‘m one of the ones who thinks he goes day 3 but it only takes one coach who thinks they can coach him up quickly. I think the pro jump will be big for him as he is still very raw and inexperienced. I think he has something like 15 or 16 games of starter experience and started off on defense. I do think he has a high ceiling but wherever he is drafted, I think he is going to take time to develop.

I did some digging, Denver paper believes he is a 3rd rd prospect. Most have him earliest in rd 4. Heard from another poster who reportedly has inside sources that Mafi is more of a 2nd or even first rd prospect as the actual NFL scouts are much higher on him than the media scouts. My best guess, is he is a late day 2 prospect. Like him much more then Avila cause he is s dominate run blocker.

Mafi is definitely not a plug and play guy. Round 3 might be early for him. Has potential to be a mauler but he‘s limited athletically. Lucky if he becomes an average pass protection guy.

Yeah, that’s pretty much what I’m hearing. Teams like him more than media scouts.

I sort of feel like the third is where I’d like the team to pull the trigger, if they do. However, for all I know, the team has him ranked as a second round prospect. I do know the team has some interest there and I understand why.

At least a year, IMO. There’s a chance that he might be ready to try to win a spot by camp 2024. He might be worth the wait though. He has real power.

In my opinion, he is the opposite of Avilia, who is an excellent pass protector, but needs a little development technique wise as a run blocker. Mafi, just like Tyler is a destroyer in the run game and needs a lot of work in pass protection. For what I've heard, he is intelligent and a hard worker. Send him and the rest of our young lineman to Duke to work on his technique as a pass protector.
