Sturm and Archer deliver the best insight into what the Cowboys are planning and doing.
Broaddus gives us some unique insight, but he too frequently confuses his own ideas with those of the team. With him, you never know whether what you're hearing is his own opinion or the team's.
Fisher also has good insight, but he's constantly trying to sell his stuff as Exclusive! or Breaking! when often it isn't. Can be very annoying.
Outside of Archer though, I wouldn't classify any of these as classic journalists.
If you're looking for insightful, well-written, well-researched articles about the Cowboys, your best bet are probably Charean Willams and David Moore. They don't pander to the social media crowd so much, but their longform pieces are probably the best around, even if you might not always agree with what they are writing.
And then there's a whole slew of mud-rackers who pay their bills by being consistently negative about the Cowboys, like Matt Mosley, Mac Engel, and the recently retired Randy Galloway. As Jerry Jones once said: "Galloway has made a damn good living just ripping me."
