Starting off, I think the depth chart will be Orlando Scandrick, Morris Claiborne, Sterling Moore, Tyler Patmon, and a rookie.

Would love to see someone knock Morris down that list due to exceptional play, or for Morris to get his proverbial s*** together.

Scandrick and sadly Mo since we are stuck with him. Prefer Scandrick and Moore with Patmon and Mo battling for #3 and 4...

Scandrick and a free agent. The free up 8M by making Carr a June 1st cut. They should be able to sign a decent free agent for a cap hit of less than 8M.

They should also draft a CB to develop.

SOOOOOOO Cut Carr, sign Suh, keep Melton , draft a CB to replace Carr.

Time for JJ to backload some deals into the future.

Scandrick and Culliver (FA pickup), Moore, Patmon and draft pick backing up. Claiborne and Carr go bye-bye.

Give me a consistent pass rush, Scandrick, Moore, Mo and a mid level FA to battle with Patmon and be happy....... even Carr would look better with some consistent pressure. In other words spending big bucks on the backend, again, is not the priority.

They. Just. Can't. Help. Themselves.

Well that flopped.

Let's try it again.

I think if you have a pass rush the secondary will get alot better.

I like chris harris jr in FA. If we cut Carr then all we have is Scandrick. Mo will still be rehabing. No way he is ready buy camp. Moore is a FA and has struggled too. I would hate to use a 1st on a CB when we need to fix pass rush first.

Also rookie CBS struggle in the 1st year. Do you really want a rookie playing the left side. I dont.

I like Ifo and Golson but niether are day 1 starting left side.

CB is going to be hard to fix in 1 offseason. I say fox the pass rush first as that will help the secondary then look at the secondary

I agree. Mo and Moore isn't going to help even in st. Louis DL was here. Carr is better than those 2 but I do agree that getting a good pass rush will help the secondary.

Also if the refs would call OPI sometimes when the WR shoves carr to the ground, he wouldn't get beat

Hopefully only Scandrick, Moore and Patmon are back, so Scandrick and Moore. There are guys on the street right now that are the equivalent of Claiborne and Carr. It's not realistic that Claiborne will be gone though. He's still cheap and the Cowboys will want to let their first round pick play out his contract. He'll be a waste of a roster spot though.

Every corner in the league has to deal with OPI. Carr could make up for it if he weren't trailing literally every WR in the league or if he were actually playing up to his billing as a physical corner. I can barely remember the last time Carr beat up a WR like he was advertised to be able to.

Mo got benched for sucking.............go watch the Rams game again...............don't see how Mo suddenly becomes a stud after missing most of this season on IR.

Carr is the biggest joke..............$50 million dollar CB that gets burnt more than bagels at IHOP.

Scandrick and Moore would be your 2015 starters right now.

Like that IHOP reference. :):) Good one....

I hope they really take upgrading the safety position, finally, into consideration. We have been killed by horrific safety play for years. Church and Wilcox are nice players, but not even close to elite level NFL caliber safeties.

I honestly wouldn't mind Mike Jenkins coming back next season to replace Carr or Mo. I know he had a season ending injury with Tampa but if he's healthy I wouldn't mind bringing him back.

Agree. He's worth a flyer. At one point , once he overcame his Olay vs Giants, he was a good defender, and as I recall the only DB at the time who actually tracked, and played the ball.

Thats something our DB's, minus Scandrick, seem to have forgotten, and to me gets us PI's when they could be deemed to be fighting for the ball.

Now that's a secondary plan I can get behind.

This is how I feel about it. It would be patently stupid to keep ignoring safety when it is a dumpster fire each and every season to get another cornerback because we made a huge mistake with Brandon Carr.

This is a horrible year for free agent CBs and an equally lackluster draft group as well. There are a few prospects at safety like Derron Smith and Kurtis Drummond that could be good fits for what we need.

If they finally went and got a real FS, it would be a boon for the defense just like getting a real center was for the OL.
