No starters expected to play but this may be the first time I really have no underdogs to root for in all my years as a Cowboys fan. Aside from Dixon and maybe the Zach Minter who played against the Ravens, no pet cats at all.

Unless Dallas signs Adrian Hamilton or another pass rusher with upside, preseason is pretty much done for me. Who are your pet cats still playing??

Honestly hope Melton and Mo get a series or two...that's who I would be excited to see. Doubt they play but....

Preseason pretty much done for me too.. Half of these guys will be working the fryers at Red Lobster in 2 years.

The corners Mitchell and Patmon are interesting though.

Ryam Williams vs. Joseph Randle. But Randle has a rib injury, wonder if he will play.
To see if they use Clutts in at FB, or a TE for blocking. That may give an indication if they may keep both Randle & Williams [which I think they should]
Patmon to see if he can keep up the intensity, as well as Mitchell.
Dixson, to see if he can still hit hard, but within the NFL rules and limitations.
Byrd vs. Newsome, who steps up to show they need to keep a 6th WR.
OL, Weems, Parnell, Wetzel battle for back up OT.
Anyone on the DL to show more signs of life than a pulse.

Maybe most of all, R. McClain, I really would like to see him take hold of MLB.

Would be nice to see Mo & Melton get even one series in, or even only 4 to 6 plays. As well as T. McClain.
Spencer at least to be suited up, giving us some hope, though it may be false hope at first. LOL

I want to see if Patmon can have a good solid game to follow up what he did last week. Also if Will Smith can show anything.

Melton, McClain, Coleman, Patmon, Mitchell

I think there is a chance we could see a little bit of Melton, but if you are talking Terrell McClain I don't think it will happen. He would benefit from more healing time on his ankle more than he would benefit from a handful of plays in a preseason game.

I am excited to see the receivers....mainly Street, Byrd and Newsome.

I want to see the continuation of the Williams v Randle battle for 3rd RB.

I want to see if they can get anything out of Minter, Bishop, Boatright, etc.

Should be interesting to see how the corner situation plays out. Webb, Patmon, Mitchell, Moore.

They hinted that Melton might take some snaps.

Yes, Garrett said the plan was to have McClain try to practice on Saturday.

I think Mo and Melton will get a few snaps. I think they both practiced this week.

I have a feeling that they've already made this decision.

To see if they use Clutts in at FB, or a TE for blocking. That may give an indication if they may keep both Randle & Williams [which I think they should]
Keep an eye on #45 Watson. He made some really good blocks from the H-Back position against the Dolphins.

Patmon to see if he can keep up the intensity, as well as Mitchell.
It's probably Mitchel vs Webb now.

Dixson, to see if he can still hit hard, but within the NFL rules and limitations.
He's on the bubble, IMO. Safety is a position where they could go short.

Byrd vs. Newsome, who steps up to show they need to keep a 6th WR.
They've probably already made this decision also. They probably don't keep a 6th now that they've got Spencer and Lawrence on the 53 but not playing to start the season.

OL, Weems, Parnell, Wetzel battle for back up OT.
Parnell is the only healthy backup for both LT and RT. Wetzel is RT only and likely makes the PS. Weems is a big question. They really seem to like him, but he's still not practicing as far as I know so he's not an option to be the top backup.

Anyone on the DL to show more signs of life than a pulse.
I'm really curious to see what they do here in terms of the cuts.

Maybe most of all, R. McClain, I really would like to see him take hold of MLB.
Yes, both McClain and Hitchens need as much work as possible if they are truly the top choices at MLB.

Im looking forward to seeing Ware and the home crowd showing him love for being one of the greats. I hope he will retire in Dallas one day.
