I prefer that the best player play.
The exception is playing both Biadasz and McGovern.
- Even if each won a spot, playing 2 OLinemen with zero NFL experience side-by-side is not a good idea to start the season.
My prediction:
Connor Williams at LG (if healthy)
McGovern at OC (unless they don't like his snaps)
That's probably the best combo now for NFL strength and athleticism.
McGovern did play center for a year for Pitt. That's not nothing, but it doesn't compare to Biadasz's experience at C.
They could go Biadasz and Williams. I found it weird that Biadasz dropped so far. I expect him to be our long term solution at C.
If you go with the young guys, they're playing what they have their experience at, where they likely end up for the following couple of years anyway, and Williams gets freed up to backup LT/G, which really improves our OT depth.
